  1. I might try the timed room clean. I could use it!
  2. So this is the last day that counts, and I've done all the goals. Having them has definitely kept me honest. At night I've done the meditation or some extra steps before bed just to meet the goals. Now I have to pick for next month! Thanks for the support. I have a hard time finding time to post!
  3. Your food sounds good. Where exactly do you live and what time do you eat? *stalking*
  4. One of the hardest things for me is not being able to purge the house of tempting treats because of potential mutinous attacks by the spouse and kid. I've been doing well, but it is so much harder with them available.
  5. Ok, so those are the really basic goals, but I am doing C25k, and want to stay on track with that as well. Did day 1 yesterday. Will also start exploring the strength training info here. I haven't done any in years and my body is really showing it! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  6. Another newbie following! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. Quietly following... Squeak. You had me at cheese. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  8. Newbie following you. My birthday was yesterday and I DIDN'T EAT CAKE (who is this woman?). You seem to be doing really well and feeling great about it! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  9. Anyone active in Houston (where I live) or Beaumont (where I work)? Just started and am hoping there are some other NF folks nearby!
  10. Hope you don't mind a rebel sneaking in here. Resuming my meditation practice is a goal for me in starting NF, I'm setting really basic meditation goals this challenge, but want to extend them. I'm interested in trying out some of the apps you guys have mentioned. I have always used Insight Timer.
  11. Pleased to meet you. I'm in SE Texas, and just joined today. Woefully out of shape, but really trying to get to work on finding time to exercise and anything High Glycemic index to the curb. I have a 200 mile a day commute, so the working out thing is really complicated, but I can't keep ballooning like I have been. What did you do grad school in? I'm a psych professor.
  12. Hi from Houston. I found an ad for Nerd Fitness in my latest Runner's World. Bought myself a membership as a birthday present. I have a 200 mile a day commute, an 8 year old, and need to get tenure, so I'm a little busy, but I also really want to get back in shape and be able to complete half-marathons much faster than I am going these days (an hour slower than my already slow PR). I tend to be very motivated by nerdy game-type things, so this seemed like a perfect way to structure getting back in shape and pursuing other goals.
  13. I'm 52 today and sick of being ridiculously out of shape and overweight. This site is my present to myself. LEVEL 1 REBEL CHALLENGE: Diet (pick two) Drink 24 oz of water a day Eat a vegetable with lunch and dinner meal every day Fitness (pick one) At least 7000 steps a day for the rest of the month Level Up Your Life (Pick One) 5 minutes meditation daily
  14. Love your goals. You have a lot on your plate. You're inspiring me already!
