  1. These are great insights guys, thank you. I have lost 20 pounds since June and have been walking every night with my wife and dog. I just have to get out of my head and start doing it...but it sounds easier here than actually executing it.

  3. Hello all, I recently came back after being away for a while, and was able to sign in because my phone had the password saved. Since I am going to be deploying overseas in the next 2 weeks, I wanted to reset my password as I don't remember my old one. When I tried to reset in my account, it asks for the old on and I can't remember for the life of me what it is. If an Admin or someone can help me that would be amazing, as I want to have this community to help me stay in shape when I'm away. Thanks guys and dolls
  4. @Hart yes I have gotten over the flu and gotten back in the swing of things. I lost another 4.2 this week so close to 10 lbs gone in 2 weeks

  7. although I am straight, I just wanted to stop by and wish you all the best of luck with this group/thread. I think it is great that you represent this demographic as it shows how broad a group we have. And although it goes without saying, always be true to yourself and live the life you want to live...if people cant understand that then the hell with them. Take care Guys and dolls!
  8. Yes for sure, I am prepared that it will venetually flatten out, but man, this stuff works! I couldnt believe by eating more than I was (I was a 270lbs man eating 1500 a day) I am actually losing weight and gaining muscle! when you say stall: is that because although the number on the scale is the same, its because your muscle gain is equal to the fat you lots type thing?
  9. Welcome Melissa to the Rebellion. You have some very good goals there and kudos for doing your research before hand. This community is great for questions, advice, or to just shoot the breeze. It also will help you when you need to vent if something went wrong with your plan, or to post your achievements and get cheered on! I have a few tips that may help: 1. If your main focus is help with your Strength training, make sure you check out the Warriors challenges and forums as that is where all the weightlifters hang out. 2. 10 lbs is not puny! It was an impossibility to you before you started to train, so don't short sell yourself! A victory is a victory....and the biggest Victories are our own ones! all the best on your training and I look forward to seeing your progression.
  10. I started weightlifting again and doing the 6 small meals a day and have lost 5 pounds in a week and a half! Granted its probably mostly water weight but it still counts! I havent been under 270 in years, so this is amazing for me. I am worried if that was too much to lose that quick, but factoring in the massive lifestyle change i would assume it is on par or normal

  12. wtf? is this a spammer? Aside from that, in regards to the OP, just make sure you don't cut back too much too fast or it can be quite counter productive. You may want to ready up on BMR (Base Metabolic Rate) before setting your goals as 1500 calories at that weight sounds like its a little lower than what you may need
  13. YES I am doing the 6 small meals a day and I never feel hungry (except when I miss one lol). And you are very welcome!!
