  1. Hey there @pseudophyte, I know I'm a bit late to the party but after reading your post I just wanted to give you a thumbs up and I hope you're making some progress. I resonated with your post because I work 55+ hours a week, I attend school, and I try to squeeze in valuable family/boyfriend/hobby time. In 2018 I lost about 20 pounds and as of today I've gained it all back. I keep thinking how could I have done this to myself and the simple answer was I did not make the time/effort to help myself. I used to take walks every day for lunch break and I meal prepped like you wouldn't believe. Now that's it horribly cold outside and I'm burnt out from working so much, I haven't put the forethought into taking care of myself. So anyway, I know life is busy and stuff but if you can at least give yourself 15-30 minutes a day to take a walk or do some push-ups or drink sparkling flavored water instead of diet soda, whatever you like (I noticed you mentioned your elliptical - do you actually like the elliptical?), I think you'll start seeing some good results. It might seem insignificant to do something so simple for so little time, but Steve's emails have reiterated to me that repetition is the key to success.
  2. So it's like 2 years later and I'm still struggling. I lost a buncha weight then went through some serious bouts of depression and gained it all back, and then some. I'm trying my best right now to eat clean again. The chocolate and sugar coated popcorn in my office is calling to me but I also have a cutie orange sitting next to my computer in front of my face. I re-read every post here, as well as the awesome articles Milo referenced, and I appreciate all of the feedback ya'll gave me years ago. Also, I am totally going to try those homemade Nakd bars!
  3. Once a week - I'm gross. The laundry machines in my building are stupid expensive. :\
  4. I believe someone is trying to start up a board game group and someone else invited everyone to come to their ice rink and party afterwards. Not the most active, but I'm probably not the best person to ask. I live on the Southside, no one near me. We do have a Facebook group, as mentioned. That gets updated more than this forum.
  5. Hello, yes we are still alive! I'm not from Wheaton but I certainly know where that is. Welcome!
  6. Badass! I think I read an article that she is a power lifter? Better get started! Also, the quote was implied.
  7. Hey why beat em when you can join em? (I did not make that decision in game, I chose the green ending.)
  8. Nooo but that would have been awesome! D: Haha it was slightly interrupted by a late bridesmaid.
  9. Aww Tali was the best! One of my best friends is obsessed with her. She even had a ME themed wedding. I can't wait for more of the games, hopefully they will be good!
  10. OMG yesss, I loved those games! My FemShep was such a beautiful, bald badass! I would love to cosplay as her or ME3 Jack someday.
  11. Doooo it! No day like today!
  12. It felt interesting, to be honest. Especially after we got out of the movie, everything I was looking at felt surreal. I didn't get queasy at all! Now if it was in 3D, that might've been another story, haha. Regardless, it was a great film and I hope you'll like it!
  13. I had a blast! Thank you for the hugs!
  14. I get so pumped whenever I play the Uncharted and the (newer) Tomb Raider games. I love mysteries, learning about far off places, crazy adventures, and I love the tenacity/passions of the characters features in those games. Some goals of mine inspired by these games include traveling more and choosing the "less traveled path" as far as activities, improving my hiking efficiency, getting a conceal/carry license and improving my shot with a firearm, working on my archery skills, learning a form of self defense, and to learn and become fluent in another language. Hopefully though I will not get hunted down by pirates/smugglers/military and I won't have to worry about ancient dark curses. I could do without all that.
