  1. Race is tomorrow and Sunday. Anyone else doing it?
  2. I agree with what signalguy said about only needing to be able to run 5 miles comfortably. From what I've heard about the TM, there can be big bottlenecks at the obstacles where you're standing around waiting for 5-10 mins (even up to 20 for Everest). I'm currently training for the Spartan Race and I pretty much stuck to 2-5 miles 3x per week at the start. That got tedious after a couple months, so lately, I've just replaced those runs with alot of sprinting workouts, which are a bitch but definitely not tedious. (See Steve's post on sprint workouts)
  3. I found my KBs on craigslist for $1/lb. Cheapest I've seen anywhere and it was an actual sporting goods store.
  4. If you enjoy the ketchup, just eat it. Is it paleo? Not really, but we're just talking about a small amount here.
  5. I'm up for it, you're not too far from me. PM sent.
  6. You referring to the Chicago one in May? I'm pretty sure I'll be doing it. Would be cool to get a NF team together for it.
  7. Throw in 10-20 sets of 2 handed swings to your BW circuits, using a 20:40 time split.
  8. I've tried that for a long time now. Still nothing. Very frustrating.
  9. You should check out Nia Shanks' blog. Here's a post on strength training for women. Women' Beginner Strength Training Guide The basic jist is to do compound lifts (squats, deadlifts, press). You could check out the Starting Strength or Stronglifts programs as well.
  10. Love this stuff, especially Alcest and Les Discrets.
  11. Ahhhh yeah, this is my kinda thread. Some of my faves from 2012... For those that like it thick and heavy, I give you Pallbearer's Devoid of Redemption http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKACdmfdkO4
