Nutrition Goals:  

  • Lose 50lbs of fat while preserving as much lean tissue as possible.
  • Eat 180+ Grams of Protein a day.  (Protein shakes count in this case, but not more than 30g of protein a day from this source)
  • Master how to manipulate my diet to make the best of a tight / busy schedule.
  • Be able to persevere when things get crazy.  Nobody knows me so nobody knows how crazy the last several years have been but I can say it was intense.  
  • Learn how to gain muscle with minimal fat gain.  

Fitness Goals:

 

  • Dealing with physique weak points:  Hips / Glute / lower back and Hamstring strength.  Rotator Cuffs.  Midback. Core.  This should allow some bigger numbers on compound lifts.
    (well, glute activation is getting better but flexibility is a big thing here too)
  • Bigger arms, shoulders, and back. 

 

  • Bench Press 275lbs  Squat 315lbs (done) Deadlift 405lbs.  (Current PRs   Bench Press 245lbs 1 rep,  Squats 315lbs 1 rep,  Deadlifts 385lbs 1 rep.
  • 34inch waist down from 44 inches.

 

​Career Goals:

 

  • Build my own business with music teaching / music composition.  Make money at it. (WIP)
  • Complete my Doctorate in Music Composition  (done)
  • Score a c.a. 20 minute live action film (In progress)
  • Score a Feature Length Film and get paid for it.
  • Score a Videogame. (Done)
  • Score a Videogame and get paid for it. (done)
  • Release a CD of music compositions.
  • Get more commissions for chamber / solo music from talented up and coming performers (one new Commission.  Won Grant.  Wait, make that two.  There was one last year as well but the performer crowd funded the fee for that one)
  • Get commissioned to write an orchestra piece
  • Finish Research Paper and Thesis for Doctorate in Music Composition (done)

Musician Goals:

 

  • Learn Jazz Bass
  • Improve alternate / sweep picking on Electric Guitar.   (working on it)
  • Develop / Grow improvisatory language on Electric Guitar
  • Keep up voice technique to be a passable singer.
  • Improve Cello Technique / proficiency (good improvements this year)
  • Learn how to compose with a sequencer (In addition to using notation software and paper)

  • Keep working on transcriptions
  • Review and practice Music Theory for teaching purposes.

Financial Goals:

 

  • Generate steady income from being a musician.
  • Pay off Student Loans
  • Acquire a proper Cello.  (Not a student one)
  • Buy a House.
  • Get a new Car.  (this is impending for sure)
  • Acquire many more musical instruments ;)  (got a new electric guitar a year ago. Got a couple of guitar pedals.  Also product testing for a local amp building company)

I wanna follow along as you chase some of these epic goals man.....

It's been awhile.  Are you still kicking around here?  Things are slowly moving and I noticed that a few of those goals really moved and others really have not so much.

Got my first paid Videogame Music Gig.  Finished it.  Got my first paid Film gig.  Working on it now.  Just got hired for another videogame music gig!
