So what is your epic armor?

Recommended Posts

I love reading all these!

Punisher skull boxers. Wear 'em for every major presentation or client meeting. Because why the hell not? Haha.

Why not, indeed.

jeans & this hoodie & these vibrams with these sunglasses

Do you know how many people would not expect an Assassin to be dressed like that??? You can carry explosives all in the hoodie (and food) and vibrams with straps that wont come off no matter what kind of parkour/running/climbing/flipping crazy you gotta do...perfect killer outfit, always make sure they underestimate you is my motto.

and in the everyday world, its fucking comfy and warm and I feel invisible and like I'm in my own little coocoon.

Haha.  I hear ya there.  Though with the number of questions I get when I wear my Vibrams I don't think they really count as invisible.

lol I am just weird, when I wear sunglasses, it feels like no one can see me...so I feel invisible, but yeah, then some old lady goes "What the hell is on your feet??" and my forcefield of invisibility is shattered!

On this thought, I have superhero / comic book / batman undies for when I know I need to channel pure awesome. Nothing better then wearing "kablammo!" "kapow!" On your butt. xD

Black Lapel made to measure light grey, two button, notch-lapel, flat front, no cuff, two piece suit with black slip on dress shoes, white point collar shirt and red/gold plaid skinny tie. This ensemble resulted in what I am calling the "reverse wingman" whereby I required the assistance of my buddy and his wife to help me escape the attention of a woman who failed to notice my wedding ring (or didn't care).

+10 CHA

Passive: Charm Person-All characters & NPCs within 8 meters of wearer must make a Will Save DC15 or wearer's reputation is increased by 100% (doubled) until leaving the area of effect.

I usually wear a bandana with skulls on it when exercising or working outside (keeps hair and sweat out of my eyes),so I give you the:

Bandana of Radicalness

+2 Charisma when speaking to 80s and early 90s kids

-5 Persuasion when speaking to authority figures

->When experiencing extreme heat, wearer is treated as having the Endure Elements spell cast upon him/her for 10 rounds.

Oramac, I highly recommend Black Lapel. You can get a suit for ~$400 that fits better than anything you can buy off the rack. Sure it's more than Jos A Bank, but it's cheaper than Hugo Boss and it fits better than either of them. Their construction is really good too. The jackets are half-canvas and fully customizable. My only beef is that a custom lined jacket only has the custom lining in the vest area, not the sleeves, but I think they will fix that if you specify when ordering (I don't know why they don't just do it in the first place, but that is my only complaint).

Thanks!  I'll look them up.  I have a pretty solid suit already, but I'm always willing to look at better!

It appears I'm in the market for a new suit.  So I can be not-a-tease.

That sounds really cool.  I'd take it in black, but that would kinda defeat the purpose I guess.

Maybe this is a cop-out, but whenever I wear head-to-toe black, I just feel so chic. I understand why the creative crowd does it so often. It's super easy to throw together (so long as you have a nice supply of black), and it's almost always appropriate. Certainly a statement outfit.

It also allows me to wear my glasses and a bright lipstick that much easier and it just works. Which is always a plus.

day-to-day: my instant badass kit is combat boots and leather jacket. just add red lipstick!

also, anything backless. dresses, shirts, whatever.

i feel like i can stomp anyone and everyone who tries to mess with me when i wear these articles of clothing.  :D

working out: strappy sports bra + black running tights + fitted black and gray quarter-zip. it's all form-fitting and dark colors and i just love it. that's mostly for winter, though. in the warmer months, i tend to rock biking shorts and a basic tank-top, but the summer outfits don't make me feel bullet-proof like my winter garb does. will have to work on that...

Vestments of Nourishment

Slot: Vest/Chest

Cost: 1100 yen

Obtainable year-round in small markets of the Eastern lands

CHA - +2. You won't look as cute as the ancient Japanese women selling them, but aprons are just cute.

WIS - +4 Encourages batch cooking, aids in some simple divinations ("I'm not going to be able to fit this all in the freezer . . .")

WP - +5, Grants an instant "inspiration" WP boost when donned. Stacks with Chore Wars, healthy food blogs with really nice, food-porny pictures, and senses of righteousness.

Provides 1 armor of chest and upper legs against splash damage and heat effects. does not protect against actual fire.

Grants a +2 bonus to Intimidate checks, when wielding a wooden spoon.

Note: Every apron provides a randomly-rolled extra attribute based on its history, style, color, decoration, etc. Mine gives me a +1 morale bonus against fear effects caused by oozes, slimes, and the sink drain.

Love this thread! Mine are super girly for the most part- black Nike Shox, gray/neon green capris, a SUPER neon pink sports bra and either of my Warrior Dash shirts. You can't really see the sports bra (maybe in black-light during spin it's a little noticeable), but it really makes me feel different. Not sure if you guys have lucky undies that make you feel like that, confidence armor under the armor!

I almost always wear one of my Tough Mudder shirts, but If I'm wearing my bright blue sports bra, I feel the psychological effect is heightened.

Speaking of which,

Tunic of Many-Eyes

This token can take many forms, but will always prominently feature the name and year of some race or physical event. Tough Mudders, Spartans, marathons, etc. When wearing the item in public, the wearer is mind-controlled into better performance. (Works better on high INT, low WIS characters, as generally, no one is watching you run or work out and thinking "Hey. she did a Tough Mudder? Then why is she going so slow? She probably bought or stole that shirt. I judge her." However, the illusions projected into the wearer's mind can influence behavior as they work harder to metaphorically "outrun" accusations of theft. )

A nice pair of shoes and/or a fresh haircut often do it for me.

I also have a Navy peacoat that was issued to my great-uncle either during or prior to WWII.  It's the densest/heaviest peacoat I've ever seen; even the new issued ones feel cheap compared to mine.  The pockets are lined in corduroy, which is awesome and warm, but might not be original.  If only I could keep the cat fur off it.
