"The Long Walk". (Stephen King/Richard Bachman - and one of my favourite stories since I was a kid) Walking under 4mph gets you shot, is the suuuuuuuper short version, and has therefore been my aim. Did it today 2 miles, averaging 3.86mph.Not been able to walk that sort of speed since the first bad injury that stopped me in my tracks 8yrs ago. Short version: It was my first experience with raccoon guns (devices that make loud natural gas explosions at random intervals to scare off animals in the fields) and I didn't know what it was. Spent about fifteen minutes hunkered in a ditch before chancing a run out of there. Congrats!!! That's a huge deal! When reading the book I kept thinking to myself "4mph isn't all that fast. How is that a challenge?" HA!
