LoBro Does A Whole 180

  • Eat Purposefully
    • Eat 180 days of Whole 9/Whole 30.
    • “The food you eat either makes you more healthy or less healthy.” -It Starts With Food
    • Eventually, I want to track calories and macros to make sure I am eating enough and possibly try to increase my metabolism down the road.
    • Read a book Whole 9 likes every month.
  • Lift Heavy Things
    • Go to the gym three time weekly for StrongLifts, unless conflicting with school workouts.
    • I will track all the numbers.
  • Live Minimally
    • Sell crap I don't need.
    • Buy only what is required for school and keep all of my notes digitally (and backed up).
    • Create a new budget to support my lifestyle.
    • Bike and walk places instead of taking rides, bus, or uber. I've been getting lazy. I bought Ellie for a reason.
  • Track All The Things!
    • Track lifts, body image, weight, height, BF%, BMI and measurements: neck, biceps, chest, navel, waist, hips, thighs, and calves.

Week 1 Starting Stats

Day 1

  • Food
    • Half an RxBar
    • Handful of plantain chips
    • Handful of apple chips
  • Don't judge me, I know this was the worst starting day ever. 
  • I was seriously lacking caffeine. My energy drink addiction was out of control.
Day 2
  • Food
    • RxBar
    • Apple
    • A pound of full-fat grass fed beef via Plantain Nachos.
    • Huge plate of plantains.
    • Ate well over what I needed to today. Felt great.

Day 3

  • Food
    • Another pound of full-fat grass fed beef and plantain nachos (1800 calories or so).
    • RxBar
    • Half cup of raspberries.

Day 4

  • Food
    • Chipotle double carnitas, salsa, and guacamole.
    • RxBar
    • Plantain chips
    • Last bit of the plantain nachos. :(
    • A couple raspberries. 
  • Probably a little bit short today on calories. I wasn't prepared and didn't have food cooked. Went to be early.
  • Also haven't been going to the gym because I feel like shit. Hoping week 2 I will feel better to go to the gym.

Day 6

  • I feel like shit. It's definitely lack of carbs/caffeine.
  • I have a growing list of to-do and I am lazy as fuck. NEW RULES.
    • Do one thing a day if it's a work or school day.
    • Do three things a day if it's a day off.
  • I'm going to do a GoRuck light sometime this year. I just really want a nerd or two to come with.
  • Tomorrow I'm going to ruck or bike to work.
    • I haven't decided which. I've been using Ellie a lot less since the new job.
    • I have this problem. I love biking and I love walking. Arizona weather makes walking suck, especially rucking... but I still like it. I still like the suck.
    • I think I should be walking (or rucking) more for short distances (and just bring a change of clothes) because this gets me training for GoRuck.
    • And for longer distances (doctor, groceries, etc.) take Ellie.
  • I copied Catspaw and ordered a plate for shplates.com for ruck training. Excited about it.
    • I had him put a roaring lion on it. I couldn't help myself.
  • No, I haven't been going to the gym. I definitely will be starting Monday! I figured I'd give myself a week since the first week of whole whatever really sucks.
  • All in all, things are looking up. Hoping I can keep it that way a lot longer than I have in the past. For some reason, when I fall, I fall hard. I have to learn how to bounce back.

  • I was probably short on calories again today. I need to cook more and prepare stuff for days where I don't want to cook (today).

Eat different foods man, no wonder you feel like ass.

It's not a matter if variety. It's that I've cut way back on caffeine and carbs and I'm close to my treatment. I enjoy (and previously had no issue with) eating the same things over and over. I don't think a week or two of the same foods affects the way I feel. Long term it definitely could.

But it's only been a week.
