I feel like I could be in an infomercial... (Lunge like a champ in only six weeks!)

Recommended Posts

Posted this in my challenge update, but I'm so happy with myself I'm Wooting it here too. :)

I had decided to do some before and after video, to make myself feel better so I could look back and see that there was some progress, in case I couldn't feel the difference in the gym with it being gradual and all.  I was especially wanting to do this for my lunges - I suck at lunges, always have, and after double knee surgery last year I was just plain sad.  (Trying to do them a few months ago actually made me bawl in the middle of the gym, because I felt so incapable and pathetic.)  I knew I was going to have to really look at the videos to reassure myself that I was getting better and keep myself healthy mentally to keep working at it.

Turns out I didn't need to scrutinize to see the difference after all. :)

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you with the Lunge Master 3000 system!  (With only 6 easy payments of $39.95, you too could improve your lunges like this satisfied customer!*)

*Results not typical.  Done on a closed course.  Use only with doctor approval.  Not recommended for people with pine tree allergies or six fingers on their right hand.  Offer not valid in Puerto Rico.

You must be finding that extra mobility coming in handy on a daily basis?

My mind took this to a dirty place.  Probably because I read it first thing in the morning.  ;)

Now that I'm more awake, yes!  It's so much easier to pick things up off the floor, including myself, and going up and down the stairs to my apartment is just something I do rather than something I think about and loathe a little bit. :)

I almost feel like I did 30 pounds lighter, which is pretty great, actually.  I'd like to get down below that, obviously, but it's nice that I'm starting to feel like a normal person and not hurt all the time.

Great music, great vid, and great improvement.

It takes a lot to overcome surgery, and you rock at it. Congrats on completing a challenge!
