Henry - A Quest to Improve my Life

Recommended Posts

Hello, i am Henry, a 31 years old guy that currently leaves and works in Switzerland.

I started this adventure a little over a year ago when i decided that my personal life had definitely plateaued. After spending years in relationships and breaking up with my latest one, i realized that i am a complete newbie on the social scale. Fewer girlfriends and not as good looking as i would desire, not a lot of friends - especially new ones, and definitely not overly popular within my old and new social circles.

One morning i woke up and i realized that things have to change. I started reading a lot of stuff about social skills, gaming etc and i practiced and continue to practice the new information on a daily basis, managing to suck less and to have significantly better results than in the past - more sexual relationships, more value among my tribes, more popular in my social circles. This is an ongoing effort and it was hard for a socially unskilled, introvert type of guy as me, but i am really motivated to continuously improve on this front and completely transform my personality.

Likewise, 3.5 months ago, on the 1st of May, i realized that it was time to transform my body as well. I am 1.72 m in height, 72 kg in weight with around 22% body fat as measured using fat calipers. In the beginning i was very reluctant based on my previous tries - i had started going to the gym twice and both times i dropped out after just one month because of a lack of knowledge, motivation and clear targets. This time i am also completely motivated. The gym is right next to the place where i work, so i go directly, i made great friends there so exercising is -apart from being very tough- completely fun, i know what i have to do and eat to lose fat and i have a specific plan -stronglifts 5x5- to follow. For this 3.5 months i am going 3-4 times per week regularly and i've never missed a single workout! At the same time i am adopting my horrible diet to more healthy standards. I almost completely dropped sugar from my diet (from eating two ice-creams per day lol), i reduced the amount of carbs i am eating per day and i increased the amount of proteins (meat, fish, eggs and whey). I don't think i can manage to go fully paleo as i consume a lot of dairy products -mainly milk and cheese- but this is the closest i can get.

I will post more information on my workout and my progress on my Battle Log.

Wish me luck!
