200 lb Deadlift!

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty stoked. I hit my PR of 200 lbs for 5 reps on Deadlift yesterday. This was a goal that I've had for a while now, because I kept falling off the exercise bandwagon. But this summer I finally decided enough was enough and that I was going to do Stronglifts 5x5. I didn't follow the progressions exactly because I wanted to hit 200lbs by the end of August. Regardless, I hit 200 and felt absolutely great doing it!

Awesome!  Congrats.

Now that you've done it, you can always backpedal on the 5x5 a little to keep the incremental increases in weight going.  How are the rest of your lifts progressing?

Thanks!

I'm at 170 for squats, still progressing rapidly; stuck at 120 for bench (tomorrow will be my third day there, hopefully a breakthrough); 95 for OH press, with one stall so far; 120 for rows, still progressing, and I jumped ahead in my Deadlifts. :) I've been doing my deadlift set as AMRAP. I know that's not true SL protocol, but I liked the AMRAP progression from Grayskull LP.
