Nol won't be a damsel in distress anymore, the intro post

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I joined my first challenge yesterday, yay! So happy to be part of the NF community.

Well, yes, I am a damsel in distress. If any man or strong woman decided to attack me, I'd be 100% helpless.

But hey, only a year ago, I'd sleep 11 hours a night, nap in the afternoon and get dizzy spells at any minor physical exertion. Since then I have started a treatment for my thyroid desease, taken up a temporary job as a maid&waitress (awesome to build up stamina and serious muscles) and now you can see me bike in the Netherlands, hike in the Alps and climb up Arthur's seat.

So I have faith that in a few years, I won't have to fear anyone's creepy thoughts at all! Who knows, I might even become the new female Jackie Chan and star as an awesome drunken master apprentice ;) (dream big, isn't it what they say?)

I am looking for a good Kung Fu school. I honeslty dream of learning Wing Tsun, but there are no schools where I live. Does any monk out there have advice on Hung Ga kung fu?

Meanwhile I am counting on yoga + muscle training + meditation + loads of unclassified fun activities (hiking, biking, lindy hop classes...) to get fit, flexible and STRONG.

I also aim at cleaning up my diet, I am in a life-long battle against sugar and the evil master of temptation, chocolate. Counting on a high protein + lower carb diet (and needess to say LOADS of veggies, I'm French xD) to help me reduce my body fat percentage. Nope, I am not afraid of those apparent muscle!

Wish me luck and self-confidence, I will need it!
