Well, I actually heard the Art of Manlyness podcast episode about the site, and figured I'd poke in.

I will say that I never came across a site like this when starting my journey, but I truly wish I had, and really respect what everyone is doing to help others.

My name is Ray. Since starting my transformation I've lost in total 138 lbs, and am now slowly bulking on IceCreamFitness' novice 5x5. When cutting I didn't really follow a specific program, which sadly I'm paying for now. I'm working to get to an "intermediate" strength level before my first powerlifting meet in March.

More importantly, I was a very depressed individual. I used drugs and drank alcohol every day, smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and didn't have anything going for me. Since my changes I'm now a volunteer firefighter, a full time student and have a good full time job. Since losing the weight I had a panniculectomy, which is basically a hack-job tummy tuck to get ride of loose skin.

Again, I really like the site. If anyone has any questions they feel I could answer, feel free!

P.S. I'm a total nerd. Long time comic book/video game fan and used to play tons of card games and the like. Lol.
