Hi guys, just wanted to introduce myself.

I got off track in life and goals, especially in fitness and just want to come back.

Cliffs:

  •  21 years old, Europe, 194cm tall, about 100kg now and 20% bodyfat.
  • Was 120kg, got down to 83 years ago, then got to nice weight training, then got fatter again. Mostly couldn't afford gym or any protein rich food so I just quit it altogether.
  • Trained MMA for a while and karate for half of my life (heritage), had a semi-pro fight, got my shit wrecked because I didn't eat properly and was so damn weak so this dude outwrestled me easily.
  • Now got money ( I now have a job as software developer, doing what I love! ), but still didn't focus on the right things and spent a lot of money going out and drinking.

I decided to get my shit back together. Can't afford gym for next month or two as I have to be reaaally cheap to save money to pay for my college tuition (except if I can hook up with a bike, then I can get to the cheap one about 10km away. Oh yeah, I forgot about that, when I was in my hometown, I loved biking, got a few racing bikes and went on 100km strolls daily), but I can do pull-ups, bodyweight squats and pushups. Also pull-ups seem to do wonders for my physique, since when I do them religiously every day I tend to lose bodyfat and gain muscle rapidly.

Also, yeah, I'm a coffee addict, I'm not sure if I want to get rid of that, but I think I'm going to get down to black.

So, can anyone point me to the nearest Level 1 challenge? :)

Looking forward to hanging out with you guys, cheers!

Welcome to NF, king_of_the_hill!

Remember that you don't have to go to any fancy gym to get a good work out. Use what's around you, like lifting a backpack full of heavy textbooks or doing pushups on the floor of your own home. Also, look into classes in your local community center. They're usually cheaper than having a gym membership. Biking events can also be found locally. Some parks have places you can run to and then do some sort of workout on.

If you're selective, farmer's markets and cheaper grocery stores should give you a nice variety of produce, meats, cheeses and grains to chow down on as well as other things. I like ALDI and I'm not ashamed to say it. In fact, I take pride in saving money.

Sometimes I like my coffee black with a little saccharin (Sweet 'n' Low, etc.) or other artificial sweetener. I know it's not the best thing, but I only put in one packet and it cuts the bitterness with the sweetness if you aren't into the full-on bitter flavor. I don't even have more than two cups a day at most (one regular in the morning if I'm tired and a decaf in the afternoon if I feel like it).
