Hello everyone i am the newb here, i am in the US Navy stuck in Central California in Lemoore.  I work 10+ hours a day plus sometimes i have watch for 8 hours.  I'll keep my name and information a bit secret for now, i guess private message me if you really need that information.

I am 26 years old, i am an avionics electronic technician in the US NAVY so i work incredibly long hours and get paid next to nothing.

i am obsessed with hockey, so therefore my workouts and goals are all aimed at this incredible sport.

quest: lose 10 lbs. increase agility/functional strength/dexterity. And a big one is increased speed.

here's some relevant information, i work in the navy and i live on base since there have been cutbacks the gym is smallish and is only open these hours so keep this in mind monday-friday 6am-8pm sat-sun and holidays 8am - 430 pm.

i use to bodybuild but now the navy takes most of my time nowadays.

so my goals are far fetched but to make it measurable

1. be able to run more than 1.5 miles without getting winded so much-long term

2. be able to  stretch and reach my toes- short term

3. get rid of my stomach and get at least a flat stomach-long term

4. lose 5lbs to start-short term

5. lose 10lbs.- mid term

6. get to 180 lbs.- long term

7. continually build on increasing speed- long term

8. increase endurance/run 5 miles with ease- long term

i don't have any challenge's at the moment so help me out throw anything my way and i will complete it, start me off slow and i will get the ball rolling. my diet cannot be fixed since i live off navy food and whatever i can get outside the base walls, i have the ability to bbq but again the facilities are lacking and it consumes time much of which i don't have a lot of. oh and also i work day check hours which i work essentially 530 am to 5 pm most days.

Those are all great goals! I especially like the one about being able to touch your toes. My grandma could bend down and touch her toes into her 80s, something she showed off regularly, and I've never forgotten it. Welcome!

Hey BuffaloMadnessYEAH, have you ever done any ladder drills?

Using an agility ladder, select a method of moving through the ladder. For example, you might start with a high-knee march forward through each box, and then progress to a lateral scissor if you’re more advanced. To target your upper body, move through the ladder with your hands while maintaining a push-up position. Once you have this move mastered, speed it up and recite the words to your favorite song, the alphabet or the pledge of allegiance as you move through the ladder. It might seem simple, but this move will get your heart rate up and your brain working.

Hope that helps.
