This time is for real!

Hi everyone! I'm Melanie, 24, 173 cm, from Buenos Aires Argentina.

 

I'm finishing university, almost Industrial Engineer here! ... don't like it unfortunately but I found it out when I had 1 year and a half to go. So here we are… finishing what I started.

 

All my life I’ve been chubby. When I was 15 I had 95 kg! I started doing Tae-bo and lost a lot of weight :D I had 73 kg when I was 18 (the lowest weight I ever had).

 

When I started college I stopped exercising and I gain my kilos again :’(

This year, when I found out I was 90 kg again I freak out! Started T-Shun’s Focus T-25, excellent! Love it!.... unfortunately I been having some issues with my wrist and I couldn’t continue.

 

Last month I started swimming (which has helped A LOT all my joints) and get in the gym again. Weight training for me! :D I’m focusing con HIIT for warm up and Weight training circuit (1 hs all).

 

Ok, so that’s the story…sort of. Pretty big geek here! I’m a manga, anime and video games (RPG <3) fan. And of course all geeky series and movies!  Hehehe

 

So…

Starting point:

 

Weight: 90 kg

Neck: 35 cm

Chest: 104 cm

Waist: 87 cm

Hip: 116 cm

Arm: 37 cm

Thigh: 69 cm

ufff... here I am... again... and ashamed T_T
Everything was going ok and suddenly I don't know what happened.... In conclusion: I dropped everything and I gained all the kg I dropped and gained 5 kg more! 

 

Now I'm trying to do my best and get on track again. Yesterday I went to the gym and I grabbed the barbel for the first time! I never did it before because I'm kind of shy of everyone around.... SHYNESS NO MORE! It felt great.. my legs and arms sores but I know it a good sore!

 

This time I'm trying to do everything slower... last time suddenly I was full paleo, strength workout 3 times a week, swim 3 times a week after workout, go to work by bike everyday... I'm not going to lie, it was great but it was too much.

 

I feel I need a good gym buddy... I try to do it with my love, but can't obligate her to do what she doesn't like. She is more the "martial arts" type and I fell in love with strength! (some weeks ago we bought 20lts of paint and she was making a huge effort to carry it from the cab to the apartment. When we were inside I grabbed the paint and she told me "NO!! Use both hands! It's really heavy!". When I picked it up I started to laugh so hard!! It wasn't thaaaat heavy to me! Working out has benefits indeed! :D)

 

Anyways... Hi again... uhmm. 

Hope I can stick around here more :)

Welcome back! 

You get unlimited restarts. Every single time you make a positive food or exercise choice, you are blessing your body (and yourself)! Don't beat yourself up too much about when you fail- just make a better choice next time around.  

Yep- my favorite part of weight training is being able to carry all of the shopping bags in one trip.

When my bf is with me, he doesn't let me lift the heavy things out of the car… "You're not supposed to do that"

And he's the one who is going to learn me lift weights in the gym… its hilarious :D he's just afraid I'm going to be better than him :P
