Your Favorite, Guilty, Holiday Treats

Not sure if there is a thread for this already but folks the holidays are here and with them come some of the most delicious and most likely most terrible kinds of food you'll see.  Thanksgiving is horrible, true, but after that pumpkin pie, pecan pie, Pumpkin beer, fried turkey, and breadrolls come gingerbread houses, eggnog, various holiday parties with peppermint snacks and for me...my one weakness:

 

 

Worse than flan and arroz con dulce is this delicious, Puerto Rican concoction of awful proportions.  There is no way I can think off to make this drink 'healthy'.  You have evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, cream of coconut, rum (WHICH MUST BE FROM PUERTO RICO), egg yolks, cinnamon all mixed together into a glorious treat.  I love this stuff, not just because I have a weakness for coconut flavors mixed with eggnogs but because it's the one thing I can make that reminds me of my culture.

 

I will make it again and I will not feel guilty for drinking it; this is a holiday only affair, meant for Christmas and New Years.  I know its' oh so very bad for me, that each 4 oz glass contains some ungodly amount of sugar, but it's delicious.

 

So Felicidades my friends, this wonderful Holiday season.

Omg I haven't had coquito in so long, mostly because my old friend that I drifted way from use to make it lot during Christmas. So addicting.

 

My guilty holiday treat is peppermint bark.

I don't know if I had that before!  Looking it up it sounds delicious and fantastically terrible!  Yum!

I love stout and I live in a place where there is a brewery place every couple of miles.  And they are always my go to places too...ughhhhh

You guys are making me feel lucky that I can't stand the smell of alcohol (for some reason I hone into the near rubbing alcohol smell in anything). But I could get behind eating lots and lots of pie.

 

Also wrong holiday, but I've been really craving candy corn today for some reason, and that's nothing but a bad decision right there.

You guys are making me feel lucky that I can't stand the smell of alcohol (for some reason I hone into the near rubbing alcohol smell in anything). But I could get behind eating lots and lots of pie.

Candy cane Hershey's Kisses.  Even better than peppermint bark IMO.

 

Also I make Heath Bar cookies.  Basically chocolate chip cookies, but I replace half the chocolate chips with toffee pieces.  They've been a big hit at Christmas parties this year.

Mulled wine, especially Crabbies Mulled Ginger Wine. Sooooo evil, but so good! And mince pies.

Mulled wine is delicious!  For Christmas my MIL is probably gonna be making that while I make the coquito.  So double the boozy horridness!
