Thank you NF for rezzing me.

Working out takes so much time. So. Much. Bloody. Time. Mostly because where I live, where I work, and the gym with a squat rack are none of them in convenient locations to each other. So for the past two months, I've been donating to my gym instead of working out at it. Sadface. And then there's been the parties...Since the week before Halloween I swear we've had a birthday party, costume party, going-away party, or Christmas party every bloody weekend. I can eat responsibly, but when the best option is chips and salsa that only goes so far. I even bought the Academy membership on the first round (last....year.... >.<) and have done nothing with it. (Sorry, Steve...)

I'm tired of being grumpy and kicking myself every day. Yes, it's a week before Christmas. Yes, my days are all scheduled from here into next year. Yes, I won't even be able to control the food that's around me for a good part of the next 2 weeks. But all of that being out of control doesn't matter, because I can control myself. I don't have to eat all the cookies and pie to keep from offending my family members. I have a workout room at work, now, and I can go up there 3 times a week. And I have a pull-up bar, a floor, and my own legs at home--I can and I will do exercises when I can't get to my gym. I am in control of my body, my activity, and my cravings.

Welcome back, old friend!

I hope the new(ish) job is treating you well.  Glad to hear you haven't given in to the dark side and still have some desire to be healthy!

I thought of you a couple of months ago when I had some neighbors over for a Lego party that included cocktails...  Good times.

Sounds like you are on track for success!  Also if it does look like controling what you eat isn't going so I'd say focus more on working out and fix the food part when you can since it is that time of year where desserts, treat and the like are commen place.  But that is just my two cents.

I kind of sucked at getting back in the NF boards, but I did (for a few months) get back to exercise! It was mostly bodyweight, doing squats, push ups and pull-ups. But it was going pretty well in January and February!

Then at the beginning of March I pulled muscles in my hips that I didn't even know I had (protip: frog pose from yoga =/= sex position), got a cold, yadayada....

Then I got pregnant. Surprise!

Now I'm posting to re-respawn. I'm glad we've got infinite rez in this game! I'm finally getting past the can't-eat-stuff, too-tired-to-move phase. I at least have the energy to think about exercising when I get home, even if I don't end up doing more than a couple pull-ups (I can still do 2 with my chin above the bar, though!)

I think I'll be joining the next 6 week challenge. Or should I just jump in now?
