Developing New Shows (Feedback Needed)

I'm a professional mentalist and have been in the starving artist phase since 2007.  I'm finally just giving up on the so-called conventional wisdom of what worked for others way back in the 90's and embracing who I am.  So I'm creating two new shows for 2015 specifically for the nerd crowd and the convention circuit.  The first of the two is a mind reading show with an original character of my own creation: Dr. Question Mark.

 

 

The concept behind Dr. Question Mark is that he's a bottom-tier superhero, a telepath and nothing else who does detective work.  He's the working stiff of the superhero world, but as he would argue that's not strictly speaking a bad thing.  In his own words, "Saving the world is glorious and all, but you get the crap beaten out of you a lot.  Detective work involves getting punched less."
 

The show is comedic, my main infliences being Patton Oswalt, Douglas Adams and Aaron Williams.  I have a penchant for world building so the show has a certain amount of texture to it with Dr. Question Mark talking about what it's like to be a low-level superhero with a power that he can't turn off.  Speaking of, that's the reason for the foil band around the hat.  Since he can't turn his telepathy off he uses the foil to block out background telepathic noise.

 

So what do you guys think of the character?  What do you think of the concept?

 

The second show I'm working on is a lesser priority.  It's a steampunk show with myself playing as Aleksandr Vornoff, a rogue scholar and paranormalist operating on the fringes of science.  I'll have more details on that in the spring.

 

For now I welcome any and all feedback you guys can give me because, well... you're the audience this is being made for.

Forgot to add more context.  I posted an FAQ video on my channel earlier this month.  Hope this helps.  Again, I'm really looking for feedback.  A few performance demos will be coming in January so you guys can see a sampling of what to expect over the coming weeks.
