Lean Body Mass Gain

Recommended Posts

So I did some math today.

In 2009 I weighed 186 and wore 34" jeans, putting my actual waist probably at 36".  Estimating my neck at 15.5", the Army bodyfat calculator says I was at 20% BF, leaving me 148.8 lbs Lean Body Mass.

I moved to Taiwan for a year and came back 146 lbs, at about 7% BF, with about 135.8 LBM.

I now weigh 180 lbs.  Based on current measurements, my BF is 12%, which means I have 158.4 lbs of lean body mass, which is a gain of over 22 lbs since 2010.

While I realize the Army bodyfat calculator is pretty terrible, I needed something consistent to use for comparison.  I feel that I am actually a bit higher than 12% now, and was quite possibly higher than 20% in 2009, but I have no real way to verify that.

Regardless of the fuzzy numbers, I feel mostly pretty good about where I'm at.  I've been trying to get to 180 for a long time, and finally hit it over the holidays, after months of a broken foot, though my fat level is higher than I'd like.

Anyways, WOOT!!!! 22 pounds of muscle gained!!!!!

Searching the world for a cure for my wanderlust.
