Woe is me

Recommended Posts

I've been slowly but surely gaining (hopefully good) weight for the last few months, training regularly, etcetera etcetera. A few weeks ago I started trying Intermittent Fasting with a 16 hour fast and an 8 hour "feast", with training taking place while fasted (followed by a monstrous breakfast). The gradual weight gain has continued, roughly at the same rate around half a kilo or so a month.

However, here comes the bad news, even though I went clothes shopping a few months ago and got essentially a new wardrobe of jeans and t shirts, I'm gonna have to do it all over again. As of lately my waist has gone down from a 30 to a 28 (back around June it went from 32-34 down to 30), so now my jeans can slide off and my t shirts flap about my waist like I'm a disgruntled penguin. This truly is a terrible fate, whatever will I do.

But in all seriousness, given that my workout program has just yesterday changed (note the lifting weights in my signature have been reduced as is advised when starting a new program), I will wait a few weeks before buying new clothes in case my waist returns to its previous size. Until then it's constant belts and slightly baggy around the waist t shirts.

Incidentally, I often find t shirts to be not as tight at the waist as I'd like, does anybody have any tips aside from tucking it into my jeans (seriously, I feel like I'm from the 50s when I do that) or having t shirts that are tighter around the shoulders? Any particular brands or styles that I could benefit from (here in the UK, not the US)?

Thanks for reading my woot, have a woot-filled day :)
