Hello! My name's Issy, and I am 19 and from London :). Last summer I decided to Get In Shape and did hardcore levels of yoga - about two hours a day, every day, for three months. Now I'm back at university that's tailed off a bit from time constraints, but I've also taken up taekwondo to compensate ;). I'm hoping to take up further martial arts in the future because I have absolutely fallen in love

 

I never used to exercise because I struggle with a pretty uncommon eating disorder called SED. It's like picky eating on steroids - imagine everything kind of tastes like its going to make you gag, and that's pretty much what it is. It meant I never really had the energy for anything beyond basic living. But I'm working really hard to recover from SED, and as I have started to eat more I've been able to do more physical activity. I get very frustrated with things like circuits and the gym because they seem a bit directionless (no hate though, I wish I had the attention span to do them!) so I mainly do things like yoga, martial arts - and some hula hooping and zumba on the side. I also can't drive, and cycle everywhere.

 

What I really want to do in the long (very very long) term is earn my yoga teaching certification, and my black belt in at least taekwondo, and hopefully also some other stuff.

 

For the nerd side of things - I'm more of a liberal arts nerd. I cannot do maths, but I have strong and detailed opinions on which Roman emperor is the best and whether Shakespeare should be read or performed. I 'play' video games (....on casual mode literally just for the story) and watch a horrific amount of TV. Whatever your favourite show is, I have probably seen it. I probably want to talk about it with you. You will probably regret talking about it with me.

 

This community looks amazing, and I'm really psyched for my time here :)
