Hi everyone,

 

My name is Dan, I'm 27 years old from Germany though living & working in Cyprus.

 

I'm generally not very big on the whole online posting thing, but have been reading the nerd fitness newsletter and some of the forum posts for a while, and this seems like a very nice community, so trying something a little bit new.

 

Fitness wise I'm mostly into martial arts, I've been practicing Aikido for about 10 years, and teach a small class here in Nicosia. Along the way I've been crosstraining in various other styles, and the last few years my interest has been mostly focused on the practical self protection side of things. Therefore expect me to drift over to the monks at some point.

I am also very interested in nutrition, currently doing the precision nutrition online certification. Mostly I just like cooking and eating, and this way I know how to eat more while staying healthy :P . For working out on my own I prefer bodyweight excercises in general.

 

My current goals are mostly related to injury rehab as I had a few joint and tendon issues lately, and to that end putting on a little weight (reccomendation from my physiotherapist for joint health).

 

I'm mainly joining to get out of my comfort zone, and to have somewhere I can hold myself accountable. To that end I'll be jumping in on the current challenge, if a little late.
