 Hello Nerd Fitness community,

I am Chris, a 21 year old guy born and raised in Minneapolis. I've been on NF for quite some time, reading the news letters I get in my email, looking at recipes and workouts. I'm quite the lone wolf but I think times are changing and socializing is becoming more and more a part of my life.

As for fitness, it's been an on and off battle. Last year around this time I was 220 lbs. Being 5'11", thats pretty bad. However, now I'm around 180 lbs! So what's the problem? I bounce back and forth. I have periods of a few days where I am pumped and want to work out and eat right, the whole 9 yards, and I go through with it. After a few days pass, I go weeks without working out, and barely eating. The meals I do eat are great, I just have little motivation from time to time for any of the progress. Been with a girl I love for 4+ years and long story short, she walks out on me in the blink of an eye. I was getting fit for her and now I'm learning to do this for me, and I need all the support I can get! The lone wolf is looking for his wolf pack haha

I work at Target as a backroom team member, so being lazy is pretty out of the question. Up and down ladders, grabbing hefty boxes, plenty of walking. I'm looking to improve my strength and overall wellness, for myself. I was never a fan of bulking or looking super beefy. I'd rather have lean muscle than huge biceps and such. I am proud to say I finally cleared my first pull up since 6th grade and that feeling was great! I want more of it!

I love brainteasers like Rubiks Cubes and Cryptography. I spend my free time playing League of Legends and RPGs such as Dragon Age and Diablo. Really looking forward to ESO for console soon! I'm in school for Computer Software Engineering but as I near my Associates Degree, I come closer and closer to the conclusion that it may not be what I really want as a career. I love programming, but I can't find myself to do projects and such. Psychology/Sociology has been another area I've been interested in and may pursue.

Haha I am pretty disorganized as you can see by the above intro. I look forward to learning from everyone and supporting everyone as well!

Welcome to the rebellion!

You've got lots of interests, that's good! As far as your fitness goals are concerned, you might want to clarify them for yourself. Give yourself something specific to aim for, then devise a strategy to reach that goal. It makes things much simpler when you know where you are going. :D

Good luck and keep us posted!

So! Goals!!! I've seen people like Kavaldo do a one footed squat and human flag pole and those are things I would LOVE to do! To have that sense of control of the body. Looking at the guilds focuses, I may just turn to the Assassins, which so happens to be my favorite role in any RPG game I've ever played haha At the same time though, I can see myself in the Warriors guild as well. Strength training has been my go to for workouts I've actually stuck with for some time

   Drop bf% to 18% from 22%

Do a pistol Squat and Human Flagpole

Learn more about the human body connection

Stay on a consistent healthy eating regime. (Paleo is not my style though, Sorry!)

Work towards getting 6-8 hours of sleep a night

Learn to properly budget money. Be happy financially as a young adult

Build lean muscle and improve overall strength

A few specifics and a few vague goals. I'll definitely keep posted! Accountability :)
