Almost ready for pistol squats what!?!

So one of my goals is to perform a successful pistol squat, and go beyond.  I haven't really been working through the progressions, as I've been doing the BBWW to ease my way back into exercising. I was at a bus stop waiting and looked at the pole. Thought, hey why not give a crack at the pistol progression? So I grab the pole, lift one leg, and work my way into the pistol squat. I'm freaking out at this point super excited and in awe that I am this far in the progression! Kicked out 5 reps on each side. I never tried to see how far I was, and I'm just really really excited and pumped that I am much farther along the progressions as I thought I was :D I am feeling the soreness from it today (definitely a good sore). Good luck to you all with your progressions! We all can do it!
