I have been reading this site for over a month but I just now got around to joining the forums. I have learned a lot from Nerd Fitness and I hope to become more engaged in the community. I am a geeky mom with two kidos 4 and 2. I love video games and fantasy/scifi novels.

I am a Distance Learning coach/teacher for a consortium of rural school districts. Most of the students in my program take courses online that their small schools cant offer locally because of low interest or lack of qualified staff (things like Japanese, Computer Science, Archaeology). I help kids with technical issues and to stay on task. I also teach Mythology and Folklore, World Religions, and Psychology online. My job which I love is my main obstacle to healthy living. I am on the road most of the week traveling between schools and I often work late. As such I often grab takeout/drive through food. If I get out of work on time I exercise before picking up the kids but this is inconsistent. Nerd Fitness has been a great help as I now incorporate gravity exercise into my day (often while at the play ground with the kids).

Welcome to the rebellion. Life on the road can make fitness rough, especially as eating goes. I know for me the temptation to stop and get fast food makes shrinking down challenging. You can do this!
