24 lbs lost - take that, PCOS!

Recommended Posts

Hehe, I started my weightloss project a year ago and wondered if I'd ever get my topic up here... and now's the time! :D

I'm down from 196 lbs to 172 lbs (female, 24 yo, 5 feet 7 inches). I've struggled with weightloss all my life, and told myself over and over again that it's my PCOS that's making it so hard. I joined the NF Academy a year ago, and lost a few pounds last summer and during the winter (my studies and stress slowed me down, but it's not a race...), and I've dropped another 9 lbs this summer. I feel a lot more energetic, healthy, and happy about things!

A special shout-out to my support group and NF friends: you make getting healthy so much better. You're the best <3

I still have 6-7 lbs to my goal, but I thought to celebrate my journey this far. :D And to anyone with PCOS: we can do this!

Love, Ensi

That's fantastic!

Weight loss with PCOS may be tougher but it's definitely doable (and the PCOS will usually ease as the weight drops!).

Thank you!! You're right: it's been a lot of experimenting with macros (less carbs and more vegetables, protein and fats seems to be a good way to go), but it's doable! Small changes have been the key :)

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!
