Congrats! I've been doing 5x5 as well and had hoped to be celebrating that same achievement at the beginning of September but I have injured myself and that won't be happening.

 

What have you done for muscle soreness?

What have you done for muscle soreness?

Mostly I walk and make sure if I need an extra day of rest I take it. Getting a foam roller is also a great idea.

Foam roller has been great!

 

The gym I go to has an in house Physical Therapist which is looking like I may need to make an appointment for. It's been approaching 3 weeks and the muscle area above me knee and behind it is becoming unbearable.

Foam roller has been great!

The gym I go to has an in house Physical Therapist which is looking like I may need to make an appointment for. It's been approaching 3 weeks and the muscle area above me knee and behind it is becoming unbearable.

Then yes, have someone look at it. We only get one body so we need to care for it. As someone that didn't get physical therapy for 2 months after I should have for a severe sprain, get there asap.

I agree but sometimes I think we all have that moment of "is something wrong? or I'm I just being a big baby?" mine has just hit the point where I don't care if I am being a baby or not I want to fix it LOL
