Geek On Fire Posted February 10, 2016 Report Share Posted February 10, 2016 Hi everyone, Not sure what to say here, so I guess I'll just list basic stats and attributes. I'm 39, work in IT, and have struggled unsuccessfully to keep excess weight off since I was a kid. I'm a father of 2, and aside from work, I'm also studying part time after hours, so lots of sedentary time. I think I'm definitely in the "during" part of my story, as I've incorporated a few sports into my life in the last few years - I started out mountain biking with friends, then incorporated running to supplement that, and have now been studying karate for about 12 months (not sure if I fit in any guild there...) I've always prided myself on following my own path, but reckon it's time to work with other like minded individuals to enable me to take the next step and maybe some day actually feel good about myself and how I look. Anyway, that's enough from me, so "hi". If your Martial Art is important to you, and if you're looking for more of a close "pack" feel, I'd vote you belong with the monks.They're a smaller guild, and have the most familiar, casual, brothers or packmates feel of all of them, very comfortable and warm and playful and appreciative. If you feel like you've been going it alone, that'll be the strongest place to feel like you've got a pack.Pick the part of your life that you look forward to the most - is it the running?
