Good Morning-

My name is Scott, 34 years old and Libra. I'm new to the forums. I am not new to the website as I've read it for awhile now.

I am one of those folks who has never enjoy fitness. I mean why would you run unless there was a clown with a meat cleaver chasing you? j/k Seriously getting active hass alwasy been a huge struggle for me. I have always been overweight and I hope to change that.

I am a Crossfit dropout / Convert once more. I am doing a challenge at my gym so i'm eating fairly strict paleo and working out 4 times a week at least. My fear is what do i do when the changes are not coming fast enough and all I want to do is play Final Fantasy 3(6) from beginning to end. Its the motivation that I sooner or later will struggle with.

I am coming to the forums in search for support or perhaps some similar experiences.

Thank you all,

Scott

I don't think you get anywhere easily by just dropping the things you enjoy.  However, you can work fitness into that.  There is a beginner bodywork routine on the site (or anything you put together yourself).  When you sit down to play, start with one circuit and add another circuit every hour you play.  At the end, FF might turn into motivation.  The key is to not devour a pizza and 2liters of mountain dew while you do it.  I do this if I find myself watching TV.

I have the same issue

I dislike most forms of physical activity.

My Profile        |     I must not fear.  Fear is the mind killer.

My Battle Log  |     Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.

                           |     I will face my fear.  I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

Start to Run      |     And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

                           |   Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing.  Only I will remain.

It's just one of those things. To be healthy and to perhaps not hate the way I look I need to be active and eat well. I know it will be a slow process and my deep love of french fries will not vanish over night but I have to keep trying.
