Assessment

Broad Jump x3 (smooth & solid) - 51.5" on third jump

Shrimp Squat (rough & challenging) - down to yoga block on both sides

Push Up (rough & challenging) - 2 shaky full push ups (not able to maintain hollow body)

Bridge (smooth & challenging) - I can get up to full (not extended) pose, but can't maintain very long

Chin Up (broken & max effort) - I can complete a scapular pull

Inverted Press (broken & max effort) - I get halfway down and then have to bail

L-sit (rough & max effort) - I can actually hold this for a millisecond, ;)

Daily reports are not going to work for crazy weeks.  I want a plan that works for crazy weeks, since that is pretty much every week.  Maybe weekly updates?

 

Air = Freedom

- Sleep - greater than 8 hours each day (Saturday night out laaaate with Chris and Christina, but long nap Sunday morning)

- Quiet time - every morning

- Headspace - 20 minutes daily, plus Guided 20 on Su, Sleeping on M/Tu

Water = Change

- IS warm up - 3x5minutes

- lacrosse ball and foam rolling - 4x~12 minutes

- Lindy practice - 5 minutes (missed class due to extreme sads on W)

Earth = Substance

- tracked for three days on fitbit

- ate everything for two days

- reasonable day on Sa (late night snack and margarita with Chris and Christina)

- 1.5L or greater of water - 5 days

Fire = Power

- Integral Strength - 3 days

- Steps: Su-11,301, M-10,686, Tu-10,082, W-10,193, Th-10,833, F-3,364, Sa-11,798

- Total Steps: 68,257

So, it's lunchtime and I have some time to RAMBLE!

 

- currently overwhelmed by my weight, my finances, my stuff, and my job

- want to re-focus on nutrition (aka return to stricter Paleo... and NO COOKIES)

- not sure how I want to track nutrition (maybe just "variances")

- balanced movement training with Team Avatar includes: walking, integral strength, mobility, yoga, and lindy hop

- I will play around with the doses of each of these in the coming months (NOT a focus for next challenge)

 

Seems like my next challenge needs to involve training with Toph and/or Suki.  Those ladies are tough.  Guess it's time for me to get tough too!  Maybe I should pick one...  Hmmm.  Weirdly enough, I think my training with Aang is the most dialed in currently. We can probably just goof around together.

 

Excellent... I think I have a challenge sketched out for when the new forums go up.  Mwahahaha.  I'll try to keep posting weekly here to keep myself on a long term track.  Planning to take weekly pictures and waist-to-hip ratio.  Will update the numbers weekly.  Photos will stay for personal tracking currently...  Sweet.  Time to head to clinic.  I hope the forums go up soon. ;)

Do you have spreadsheets to help you keep track when you aren't updating or are you planning on updating daily on the new challenge?

 

So happy to see you do IS again, yay, and this time I know what you are actually talking about :D yas for full push ups and bridges and L-sit, whooohooo :triumphant:

 

Not sure what exactly to wish you... tough will be helpful for your work situation, yes and do go for it, but not only, because sometimes you'll be stronger and healthier when you are soft and permeable like water or air. Oh, I simply wish you the guidance to know what's best in each moment and the ability to be it :)

And that you never forget how precious you are as is :love_heart:

Week of June 12th 2016

 

Air = Freedom

- Sleep - greater than 8 hours each day, had some trouble with early morning awakenings due to stress

- Quiet time - roughly half of the mornings :/

- Headspace - 20 minutes daily, plus Sleeping twice; started new "depression" pack

Water = Change

- I think I rolled my feet once and did alphabet tracing three times in the morning

Earth = Substance

- very meh / vacation food with mom

- kept up on veggies

Fire = Power

- Steps: Su-8,773, M-6,896, Tu-7,628, W-9,934, Th-8,802, F-10,378, Sa-13,436

- Total Steps: 65,847

I didn't realize it until today, but on 6/20/2016 I truly respawned. I started tracking my calories again in MFP. Today, I've read a bunch of articles and cleaned my apartment while listening to a spotify playlist made of fantasy soundtracks. I just wrote my BIG WHY in the front of a new notebook. I un-clicked all the quests in the Academy that I have not accomplished since this respawn date and immediately went from level 12 to level 3. In case it isn't clear - this is serious. I'm ALL IN!

Took my photographs and measurements this morning. Photographs are staying on my iPad, but... I had positive thoughts about my body when I saw myself in the window. In fact, I thought to myself "I bet I'd look hot in a bikini". I meant now, not in the future. What? I weigh more than I have in years. My body fat is higher as well. This just solidifies the fact that I have made great strides in the rebellion and that I am ready to seriously change my relationship with my body and mind. *goosebumps*

 

Weight - 205.3 pounds

Body Fat % by Caliper - 38%

 

Arm - 16.5"

Chest - 43"

Bra Band - 35"

Waist - 41"

Hips - 45"

Thigh - 28"

 

Also, these quests bring me up to LEVEL 4. This will unlock new loot - Kushiel's Dart. I love this book and want a paper copy to read at the beach in two weeks. :D
