  1. Woo go Matthew! Don't forget climbing on Friday when I get in! So excited!
  2. I wasn't sure if we needed to reply to this everyday. I've been doing my mobility work, I'm still in it!
  3. Still going strong! Missed my run yesterday because of rain, so I doubled up on workouts today. I know its not the best thing to do, but the race is coming up and I need all the running I can fit in! Also, my life goal is getting there. ParacordPromos got our first little bit of press yesterday on YFS (Young, Fabulous, and Self-Employed). You can check out the article here: http://yfsentrepreneur.com/2012/10/04/15-entrepreneurs-reveal-how-they-overcame-small-business-challenges/2/ We're number 9! Plus we've been sending out cold emails with our mock-up designs to a few companies, just hired an elancer to build us a database of contacts, and Sanuk sent us an email back saying they might be interested in using our product for a GWP promotion! That would be huge, now we just have to close it!
  4. Still trying to get a handle on my Paleo diet. I'm having a hard time with my sugar addiction. Work outs have been going great though! I'm adding in the mobility stuff to my work outs for the rest of this week, focusing on my hips since I've had trouble with them ever since I stopped playing soccer.
  5. I'm in! I'm going to try to follow the hips mobility plan as well. I've had issues with them since I stopped playing soccer so hopefully this will help!
  6. Damn...feel like I'm not pulling my weight! Trying for 10 every ten minutes until I get ready for work at 4. mmustard5 is aware, but is at a football game until 3. I'll annoy him once he gets back to put some numbers up.
  7. Little rough the last 2 days...didn't think I would be at work as late as I was yesterday, had to grab food there. The healthiest thing they have is chicken fingers with fruit. Took as much of the breading off as I could. And then my little sister baked cookies (damn her!) but I did manage to only eat one yesterday and one this morning. Been good other than that today though. Work outs are going very well! Replaced the pushups in my Angry Birds workout with burpees for the inter-guild challenge, and will do some tomorrow and Sunday as well. Go Assassins!
  8. I'm in. Replaced the push-ups with burpees in my Angry Birds today. Will do some before my run tomorrow and again for the pushups on Sunday!
  9. Hey Skylark. I know the student feeling. It was really tough for me to stay motivated my freshman year. I got a little better in later years, but only because I joined the lax team. 2 hour practices 4 times a week plus games will get you in shape pretty quick. On your long days, maybe try some body weight exercises, since you don't necessarily need a gym for them. You can knock them out in 20 minutes when you get home after 7 and be done. I like the Angry Birds workout Steve posted a while ago. P.S. I was Indiana Jones for Halloween one year. Got a whip and everything. It was awesome!
  10. One day in and I'm already changing things up. Did well with Paleo today and the first day is always the hardest for me. But I had to change up my workout because it was raining. So this week I'm doing Angry Birds T, Th, Sa and running W, F, Su. Then next week I'll switch back. I really want to run on Tuesday because its the day after my cheat day and I always feel kinda bloated. I also finished all of the design mock-ups for the 50 or so companies I built a list of. That gives me a solid ten days of emails. Woo!
  11. First post here, hope I don't mess it up too badly. I'm starting to prep for ski season, which starts November 15th for me. I'll be working out at Telluride Ski Resort, boarding to my job every day for six months. Since I got back from last season, I've beeen here and there with working out, because nothing is as much fun as plowing down a black diamond on a powder day. But I figure, If I want to be able to do all that, I need to be in better shape all around than I am now. So with that said, first NF challenge - GO! Short Version: Health/Fitness Goal 1: Eat 80% Paleo. (+4 CON) Health/Fitness Goal 2: Run the entire Race for the Cure 5k in Orlando (Oct 21) - Can do about 1.5 miles continuous currently (+4 STA) -- COMPLETE, no walking in 34:43 Health/Fitness Goal 3: Climb a 5.9, and 5.10 route all in one session - Currently a solid 5.8 climber (+2 STR, +2 DEX) Life Goal: Get 5 sales for my company ParacordPromos (+ 3 CHA) Long Version: Health/Fitness Goal 1: Pretty Self Explanatory. One free-for-all cheat day per week a la 4 Hour Body. +4 if I can make it through all six weeks with no/minimal cheating, +3 for 5 weeks, +2 for 4 weeks, zero otherwise. Health/Fitness Goal 3: I currently run 1 mile, walk for 30 sec-1 min and run back. I am capable of doing longer distances as I completed two triathlons in August (3 & 4 mile runs). In order to get the full +4 to stamina I have to run the entire 5k in less than 35 minutes. Finishing longer than 35 min gets me +3, walking at all gets me +2, walking a ton +1. Running 3x week 20 min with 5 minute increasing increments to 35 min. Once I reach 35 minutes, sub one run per week for interval training to increase speed. Health/Fitness Goal 3: Also pretty self explanatory. If at the end of six weeks I can do a 5.8 and 5.9, +1 STR/+1 DEX, 5.9 and 5.10 +2/+2. Angry Birds 3 times per week to combat being away from a climbing wall until mid-October. Life Goal: Get 5 sales. Will contact 5 different companies every other day to introduce products. 5 sales = +3 CHA, 4 sales = +2, 3 sale = +1. Workout Plan: Monday cheat day Tu, Th, Sat - Running/interval W, F, Sun - Angry Birds M,W,F Strength training.
