  1. Hello Fellow Rangers, I've been a longtime follower of Nerd Fitness and always missed the six week challenges by a week or two. No more excuses though, as I caught this one in time and am ready to begin my journey. I want to thank anyone who helps me along the way, and I'll try to return the favor. Now for my goals: Goal 1 - Running - Participate in three sessions of noon basketball at the YMCA a week for all six weeks - Complete two interval runs of 1-2 miles a week. The How: After breaking my leg a year and a half ago, I lost all my running stamina and now have to start over from square one. I'm not a fan of distance running (I get too bored by it), so I'm focusing on two types of running for this goal. In order to count the basketball games, I must push myself to gain stamina and to get faster and not just lazily run down the court. The Reward: STA +3, DEX +2 Goal 2 - Strength Training - Increase Squat: 180 => 210 - Increase Push Press: 95 => 110 - Increase Deadlift: 180 => 225 - Increase Pull Ups: 3 => 8 The How: Lifting three days a week, following the Rebel Strength Guide The Reward: STR +3, STA +2 Goal 3 - Diet - Eat at least eight Paleo meals a week - Eat no more than six desserts a week The How: Any kind of baked good or anything with chocolate in it is my weakness. I cannot resist. This will be the toughest goal for me to make, yet the most rewarding in regards to my health and lifestyle. The only problem I will have with the Paleo meals is finding recipes. If anyone reading this has a delicious Paleo recipe, I kindly request that you share it with me, so I may enjoy it as well! The Reward: CON +2 Goal 4 - Vocation - Job shadow a Medical Physicist - Job shadow a Physics Professor The HowI have no idea what my calling in life is at this point, and with graduate school application deadlines quickly approaching, I need to figure out where I am applying and in what field. I love Physics, yet don't know where it will take me. I have been meaning to job shadow these two professions and keep putting it off. This might be the most fun goal, yet it is something that is very important to accomplish. The Reward: WIS +1, CHA +2 Day One Baselines Weight: 194 Measurements: 15 - Neck 48 - Shoulders 39 - Chest 14 - Bicep 36 - Waist 23 - Thigh 17 - Calf Pictures: Could not get the "Manage Attachments" link to work, but I'll keep trying.
