  1. Hey all! I am in the process of moving my greenhouse to another location. Long story short, went through a divorce at the end of last year and had to find a new home for it. This year will be half veggies and half for an experiment for a farmer I know. It could turn into something better for the future. I'll post pics again once it is operational! 2. Just thought I'd pop by and say hi! Thinking of you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hey all! I just got this on my basil and my tomato plants. It kinda looks like salt or sugar. Any ideas on what it could be? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Happy birthday to one of my favorite peeps on NF!!!! Sent by captain's orders via raven
  5. Does anyone know what kind of bug this is? Found it on my cucumber plant: Sent by captain's orders via raven
  6. No pickles yet, I have a feeling they are in the near future... Sent by captain's orders via raven
  7. You are indeed correct, it was a sunflower! I guess I'll put more effort into the dirt garden next year or just build another greenhouse..... Here is the first of many cucumbers to come out of the greenhouse!! It is about 18" long! Sent by captain's orders via raven
  8. Hey all! Challenge wrap up: Overall, I feel I did good with the challenge. I hit about 75% of my goal, not bad considering some of the bad habits I've picked up over the last year. I'm planning on skipping the next challenge and getting my goals into the academy so I can track them better. Thanks to all of you for all the support. I'd love to keep connected with you, and I'm still updating my battle log here: Captncid - the journey continues https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http%3A%2F%2Frebellion%2Enerdfitness%2Ecom%2Findex%2Ephp%3F%2Ftopic%2F58848-Captncid---the-journey-continues&share_tid=58848&share_fid=26425&share_type=t Just as a bonus, here is a picture of the first cucumber to come out of the greenhouse. It's about 18" long! Sent by captain's orders via raven
  9. Yay!! First of many cucumbers from the greenhouse! This one is about 18" long. Sent by captain's orders via raven
  10. Hey all! Been running a challenge, so sorry I haven't been updating much here. Wanted to at least share some pics of the greenhouse, it is going crazy. Sent by captain's orders via raven
  11. I agree with all the above comments. You are such a wonderful person and you are getting wins in! As it has already been said, celebrate your wins, forgive yourself when things don't go as planned. You are human, after all. Always remember to breathe. You can do this. I believe in you. 12. Thanks. If it stays here, all good. I'll just pay more attention next challenge. [emoji12] Sent by captain's orders via raven
  13. Hey all! Been a busy week. As far as the challenge goes, I'd say this last week was simply ok. My water intake started awesome. The last two days, not so much. Day before yesterday I simply did not drink enough and yesterday I forgot my water bottle at home. I'm still at least drinking more than I have been in the past, so mini win for me! Water: 5 out of 7 days Food was not quite as good. A couple 13 hour days really took its toll on me. I did manage to get just better than half of the days done, though. Food: 4 of 7 days Definite room for improvement and I am proud of the progress I am making so far. I may have to revisit these goals in another challenge, however I like what I am seeing so far! I hope you all have a fantastic day! I'll also post a greenhouse update if anyone is interested in both my daily battle log and the gardening thread. I'll link to both once they are up. 14. Can anyone help me identify this plant? It sprouted in my dirt garden as a volunteer... Sent by captain's orders via raven
  15. I hung a trellis in the back for the cukes to grow up, it goes to the top of the greenhouse. As for the watermelons, I was just going to let them grow over the edge. If they end up in the ground, it's all good. [emoji6] Sent by captain's orders via raven

  18. Hi all! It's been a while since I jumped into a challenge. I was asked if I'd like to join this one a little late, so I figured now is the time to get back to it!! Just to get back into it, I just have 2 goals for the remainder of this challenge. 1. More water I've fallen back into drinking energy drinks and it is starting to get to me. My goal for this is to drink 2 liters of water per day. It is almost twice what I drink now, so I figure I will have to cut down on the energy drinks to make this goal. 2. Make all meals from home 5 of 7 days a week. I work 12 hours overnight and haven't been planning or preping meals for a long while now. This goal is to help me get back into the habit. On a side note, I also am starting a greenhouse this year and have been updating here if you'd like to see. 20. Hey all! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I just did a big update on the greenhouse here: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/79393-Garden-Planning---What-Do-You-Want-To-Grow%3F/page__view__findpost__p__1942711&share_tid=79393&share_fid=26425&share_type=t&share_pid=1942711 That's pretty much what I've been working on lately. I will be starting the new challenge in a few days, still working on goals. Sent by captain's orders via raven
  21. Hi all! Just wanted to do an update on the greenhouse. It's going a little crazy... Shot from the entrance: Zucchini and Sugar Snap Peas: A couple tomato plants: A tomato plant and a pepper plant: A pepper plant, a tomatillo plant, and a nasturtium: A poblano and a yellow pear tomato: A yellow bell pepper and some transplanted jalapeños: The Spinach I started in the bed from seed: Cucumbers, watermelon, and more nasturtiums: A couple pictures of the barrel, the top plants are radishes, carrots in the front, and 3 broccoli plants in the bottom row: I took out the towers because of water flow issues and replaced it with this, it has some strawberries, basil, lemon balm, and I'm experimenting with regrowing lettuce after I have harvested it: Of course, gotta show the fish: Here is some lettuce we just harvested: Happy gardening everyone!! Sent by captain's orders via raven
  22. Finally got these in last week!!! Sent by captain's orders via raven
  23. The carrots go in the cut sides, they essentially act like net pots. You just harvest them like normal out of the side holes. The top ring of dirt I put radishes in. The middle white bucket is where I put any scraps. It has holes in it so the worms can go in and out. I'll do my best to get better pictures. The white tube on the side is for water. The barrel is a wicking system to keep it all moist. This is a video of how to build it and a decent explanation of how it works. The guy is dry, however has great ideas. Sent by captain's orders via raven
  24. Here is the tower I made for the carrots and radishes. The white bucket in the middle is for composting. Sent by captain's orders via raven
  25. Ha ha! No, I don't grow that even though I live in Colorado. Can't stand the smell and it can mess with my driver's license since I have a CDL. Sent by captain's orders via raven
