  1. First off, thank you all for your replies. Some of the meals you've specifically listed have had their ingredients added to my shopping list (: I'm a fairly active person, 40 minutes of cardio a day with a lifting session every other day, and I've been feeling a little less virile than normal going into the gym. As @Zorch pointed out, I may need to make sure I eat less lean meat (as I've been eating it almost exclusively) and instead eat meat with higher fat content. Conversely to @rjphillips, I love vegetables, but I have a hard time eating fruit so I purchased a juicer and powder fiber additives (: I "think" I'm going to try adding protein shakes on the days I do heavy lifting, and a single sweet potato or something that gives similar carb intake on the off days. Thoughts? Suggestions? Anything/everything is appreciated (:
  2. It would be appreciated if I could get a moderator to move: http://www.nerdfitness.com/community/showthread.php?19001-CSEngineer-s-Log To Battlelogs
  3. Are there any major concerns with Paleo dieters not getting enough carbs? I'm pretty sure a Paleo's main source comes from vegetables, and to be honest, I don't eat all that many. I've been sprinkling spinach and green onion in with my eggs, but the main composition of the majority of my meals is protein. To remedy this, I've purchased a juicer (which will hopefully help). So to summarize, how important is it to get ENOUGH carbs? And what are some ways to ensure that you do? (http://www.marksdailyapple.com/the-primal-carbohydrate-continuum/#axzz20LUHTdpH)
  4. Hello Forum Dwellers, I'm a 20-something year old student from The Ohio State University. I was on the basketball, swim, track, and tennis teams in high school; sporting a pretty nice body despite a terrible diet. Unfortunately, now that I'm a few years into college, I've packed on 30 pounds -- none of it muscle. Having finally reached a breaking point, I decided to do some research that led me to this website. Needless to say, I will be attempting to follow many of the lessons this website has to offer whilst chronicling my efforts. My SMART Goals Are: - Plan out paleo meals for the next 7 days and purchase ingredients - Create a log book that details exercises and tracks progress/goals - SCHEDULE Exercises and meals - Update goals at the end of the week (more specific) Well, I'm off to create my thread. Hopefully you'll be hearing more from me, and me from you!
