  1. Hah, I actually do have a crockpot, and I agree it's the bachelor's best friend. Also at most of the places I buy chickens, they are only 50 cents or less cheaper than a prepared one - for 50 cents I don't have to clean the crockpot. I posted this diet as a short term fix for people like me that occasionally work a 17 hour day, when every second counts! I do think it would be great for you to post some crockpot recipes though, I may start using mine again when work slows down.
  2. K figured it out...just hosted it elsewhere. Here's me last year: ZOMG pictures of me on the internetzzzzz, very scary to me. If I can get back to this shape I'd be happy, then I'd try to get in even better shape!!
  3. Peer pressure, I'd love some. I figure if I post some pics I'll have to follow through! Just as soon as I figure out HOW to post pics...
  4. Interested in a Paleo diet? Have no time or desire to cook? Hate doing dishes? Don't want to empty out your bank account at Whole Foods? (worth it though, and oh-so tasty) Then my friend, you are not unlike me. I recently switched to paleo/primal eating but I really don't like spending money, I don't have much time to cook, and I find eating out difficult when I am dieting. So what's a guy to do? Well, if you don't mind eating the same stuff over an over (like me, when dieting) then I have a fairly simple and cheap solution for you: rotisserie chicken, cage free eggs, and organic spring mix - voila, dinner. On weeks that I know I'm going to be super busy, I go to Sam's Club and buy 2 to 3 rotisserie chickens, 2 large containers of pre-washed organic spring mix, and a couple containers of eggs - this costs around $50. I also buy roasted walnut oil and this seasoning called "Janes Krazy" seasoning you can get at health stores. The rotisserie chicken usually comes in its own container, so I'll eat some of it and then put it back in the container and chuck it in the fridge. I take the spring mix and drizzle walnut oil plus that Jane's seasoning stuff along with some Celtic or Himalayan see salt and scarf that down, then maybe a hard-boiled egg or two (if I bothered to boil them). If you throw in some fish oil caps, a solid multi-vitamin, probiotics, and vitamin d3 you can consider yourself a well-nourished individual. The chicken is seasoned with gluten-free spices, but I usually avoid the skin just in case. One chicken should be good for sizable (protein wise) 3 to 4 meals, and they actually will keep in the fridge for a week easily. The micro greens will start to go bad after 3 to 4 days, but by then I'm on my second container that was sealed. I generally hard boil the eggs to have around as snacks when I am in my eating window (I also us Intermittent Fasting). It takes me virtually no time at all to pull the chicken out of the fridge, rip some pieces off of it (who wants to wash a fork/knife/plate? I don't have time for that crap), then toss some spring mix in a bowl with my seasoning and scarf it down. At the end of it all I have to do is rinse a bowl off, dry it, and throw it back in the cupboard. This meal is easy to prepare, is only comprised of whole foods, centers around quality protein, and fat content is highly modular (monitor your walnut oil usage), and will toss anybody into ketosis fairly quickly. If anyone has any questions, post em - I'll reply just as soon as I finish tearing through this chicken, rawr.
  5. Sigh....yep Maxwell/Gunter, armpit of the Air Force. I don't really mind the south, I'm actually in the process of moving to Auburn which I think is a very nice city. I beta-tested WoW when it was in alpha because my friend worked at blizzard when I lived in CA, I played a for a few years after release but it seemed to just get crappy. I'm working on building a character - how else should I get involved with the community and start soaking up some much-needed support? I have a training and diet plan all figured out that utilizes paleo, intermittent fasting, and heavy lifting.
  6. Hi All, Usually not one for forums or online communities, but I love fitness and video games so Nerd Fitness seems to be the ticket. My user name is my old standby name for any of my online video game characters for games like WoW, FFXI etc. I haven't been playing as much in the last couple years. I'm originally from CA, currently stationed (I'm in the Air Force) in AL and I'm about to undergo a serious diet and training routine to see how much I can "level up" IRL. I was doing pretty good up until August of 2012, had nearly my 4 pack and a good amount of muscle, but I started seeing a girl after that ran it's course I haven't managed to get back into my routine, and the damage done is sizable - about 15 pounds of fat heavier, and 10 pounds of muscle lighter! I may try and compete in a challenge, or just post up my diet/exercise plan and see what everybody thinks/get support. Anyways, great to be here I hope to meet some more strange people like myself that are into fitness and gaming! Cheers. P.S. If anyone has any questions for me don't ever hesitate to ask.
