  1. I have not indulged in this "grass-fed pork" of which you speak, though I have heard word from the South of the god Bacon. The followers, which I believe are called Baconaters, seem to be quite evangelical. o.o
  2. Wait wut. This is rather uncanny. o.o BUT YES. TO GLORY! (So far glory looks like a place without cookies. Glory is a sad place.)
  3. Ooh, what kind of 30-day yoga challenge are you doing? Also, I like your way of going about this. It seems as if you want to do this for yourself, and that's pretty nifty! n_n
  4. Motivation: To build a healthier relationship with food! I'm not here to get super ripped, or really even to alter my attitude towards fitness at all. I exercise when I feel the need to, for the sake of feeling healthy and happy, and as such I enjoy it. However, I do have some pretty weird habits around food. Like, I am actually kind of addicted to sugar. I never liked sugar very much as a kid. But between working in a bakery and dating a dude with a serious sweet tooth, some sugar issues have surfaced. BEGONE, SUGAR ADDICTION! Main quest: To eat healthy food when genuinely hungry, paying particular attention to nighttime eating. Cut sugar and refined carbs. Absolutely no refined sugar until Monday, March 3rd; limit carbs to oatmeal and popcorn (yay popcorn!). After the first week, I will take some time to re-evaluate and adapt.Be conscious of nighttime munching. When the urge arises, I will pause to assess it; or, if I have succumbed to the urge mindlessly, I will reflect on it. Draw something each night to relax. I want to replace nighttime eating with another rewarding activity. Plus I could stand to improve my art XDTell people I am doing this. It is much easier to fall back on old habits when I keep my goals to myself. ^^;PLAN MEALS. I AM A LAZY LAZY COOK AND THIS IS MY DOWNFALL. Well, aside from all my other downfalls. Life quest: ACADEMIC SUCCESS! Write what I have to get done in my day planner, and then do it accordingly.Clear my mind when studying, focusing solely on the content rather than worrying about everything else I have to do! Not totally completely lose my mind worrying about my upcoming oral presentation D: ONWARDS~
  5. Alright, cool! Is it really that simple, though? I have heard people say that they find they can build muscle while on paleo, but not on a "regular diet."
  6. Hi! Four days ago I decided to challenge myself and go quasi-Paleo. (I say "quasi-Paleo" because I have eaten oats and popcorn, and take some soy milk in my coffee. I've been reducing my intake of grains and fruits every day.) Anyways, what I'm wondering is: if I eat a "maintenance" amount of calories, can I still expect a change in body composition? Or does that only happen if you're eating paleo AND at a calorie deficit? Thanks! n_n
