  2. Hey Terah, thanks for the reply That's so great you are seeing good results. My boys are 10 & 4. Both v lean and super speedy and I simply can't catch them atm, especially the 4yr old who's just got new barefoot shoes and now says he feels 'supersonic' LOL. I'm feeling great so far on day 1. Supplements taken, primal lunch chomped (huge salad, compliant pate & coconut yoghurt) and only had water & earl grey tea to drink so far. Just supper out tonight to get through without reaching for my usual glass of coke.

  4. Not been active for ages but decided the time was right to de-cloak and join the rebellion properly again. Backstory I'm a 41 year old work at home mum and have been battling my weight for 30 years. Started steadily losing weight for the first time ever around 5 years ago when I discovered the Primal Blueprint. I lost 60lb through various hiccups like pregnancy, moving house etc...before financial dire straits forced us to severely cut our food budget last year, meaning I was back on rubbish value junk food….and I've put back on 40+lbs This month we are finally financially stable again,
  5. Overall I agree with the previous poster that uk meat is more likely to be grass fed (at least partially) than in the US. Most winter feeds are silage (grass-based feed). But increasingly US methods are starting to appear more and more. You also have to be careful with supermarkets as meat labelled as UK produced isn't always. Animals can be imported and then slaughtered in the uk under labelling laws. Best to check for the red tractor symbol for true UK raised animals. It is best (and often cheaper) to find a small indpendant butcher or farm shop in your local area and ask questions about the

  8. Hey everyone. Sorry been awol for a week+ busy with work and general home stress but still keeping on track mostly. How's everyone getting on?
  9. Finally grabbing 2 minutes to post here again. Things have been very stressful and busy here with Xmas fast approaching and money/car problems. But I'm glad to say on the whole they haven't affected my drive to succeed with my goals and I'm still on track. Weight loss is right on track. I've dropped 5lb since the start of the challenge and feeling really good on the primal food. I've had to get rid of a skirt and a pair of trousers as they literally fell off me Walking is going well. 10 miles week 2 and 7 miles last week and am managing more and more little jogs along the way as my core is s

  11. Sorry for the delay in replying First week went ok. Losing weight on track and getting lots of walking in as planned...but not doing my push ups as much as I intended or finding the time to declutter the house...need to work on those.
  12. Week 1 report....some good some bad... Lost 2lb since last week and walked nearly 8 miles so am doing well with those. Push ups I keep forgetting or the kids keep getting in the way. As an example I did 2 sets on Sunday and then the smallest wanting feeding and I forgot to do any more . But the couple of lots I have done seem to have had a big impact on my core strength because I managed a v short jog yesterday. Not been able to do that since March because of my pelvis relapse. De-cluttering has also been a bit haphazard so shall have a home day tomorrow to catch up on that @alarep - I've bee

  14. I do primal...which is like paleo but with some dairy. It's a bit of a judgement call really I think based on how dairy affects you/ Some people can get on fine with it, while others find it makes them ill or gain weight. Myself I can tolerate cream and certain cheeses but milk makes me ill and I can't really stomach yoghurt without adding masses of sugar to it...so I stick to a little heavy cream on my berries Can't advise on the coffee I'm afraid. I don't drink it as it has a speed-like affect on me. Not pretty!
