  1. Data entry makes it really easy to multi-task. And I don't know, I think seeing that might be encouraging! Are you in the King County library system? You might be able to get the book or the audio from the library. I listened to the book through Libby which is part of the KC Library system. It's exciting and kind of terrifying to do. Lol
  2. Another day without soda, although absent-mindedly I almost bought some before I realized what I picked up. No other goal focused tasks today. Was supposed to go through my pants but I was lazy. I did knock out some stuff for the mini while I was at work. There were only 2 people at work today and it was so quiet. I raised my desk and did some leg exercises and some static yoga poses. Thank you standing desk!
  3. Yay! What a smart idea. I know searching for places to live can be stressful but I always get such joy from apartment layouts and floor plans.
  4. I think this is a great way to go about it!
  5. January goals are going great! Last night I wrote out all my HOA checks for the year and dropped off January's check today. Got home and decided to jump right into my Marie Kondo adventures instead of decompressing first. I finished putting away the undergarments I'm keeping, those folded items look so pretty and satisfying. I went through all my cardigans/button or zip up sweaters. I have a whole pile of clothes ready to donate. I finished going through my jackets and am having a hard time figuring out what to do with my old letterman's jacket. I sent an email to my old High school to see if they accept slightly used jackets for students who can not afford the ridiculously priced jacket. I don't want it but don't feel right giving it away to goodwill or a donation place. Plus I might actually like to keep the patch off the back but I have no idea how to get that off. 6. 3 hours a week, but I'm starting with using 2 hours! I've been excited to start using them since I started working here.
  7. My friend has done the interview thing multiple times. She owns her home and rented out 2 of her bedrooms. They just want to make sure that everyone will get along. She had a few, early in the whole roommate thing that turned out to be pretty crazy. It's just as stressful as a job interview! Good luck this weekend!
  8. It is! My gym is on the way home so it's even more convenient. Next week we have a Mandatory Wellness Meeting, which my Chief said we can go to if we want. Lol. It's mandatory for another group but we were invited since our building is next to theirs. I was hesitant about it at first. I thought it might have been an actual training/workout but we were told today that it will be held in the classroom. If people want to workout afterwards, they can and are encouraged to. I need to charge up my fitness watch if I'm going to start working out again.
  9. Thanks! I believe the thought process was people are more likely to take the extra time during the day when they already have it allocated to work then they are to make time for it before or after work when they have other things to do or families to take care of. I also work for a Fire Department so wellness is important. They also encourage us to use the stations gyms and the training center gym, for $4 a month. They also have a workout class run by one of the firefighters that people are encouraged to go to. I'm not at that level of comfortability yet. I'm not going to work out in a small room with a bunch of firefighters, it's kind of intimidating.
  10. Without any real research, just observations, I concur and believe this to be the truth. The Holiday debt we put ourselves in makes January rough for a lot of people. You got this and it will stabilize soon. Also your gym sounds amazing. I'm happy you and Ms Rogue found it!
  11. You know I've been absent for a while and only on off and on but I'm so happy to see you still around. It sounds like you have learned a lot of things about yourself that some people never figure out. I second this!
  12. Do you have an idea on how your going to KonMari/Asa Pond your clothing? Like go at it all at once or in subcategories?
  13. No, this must be a lie. I would have never guessed this.
  14. I can't enter in the ship type from my phone and won't have access to a computer until tomorrow. If either of you is on there before I am, can you please put in the ship for me?
  15. I'm super excited guys. I finally feel like I'm in a good spot at work and talked to my boss about using the 3 workout hours we get each week. Starting Monday I'm going to leave work at 2:30pm Monday and Wednesday and go to the gym.
  16. I forgot, I talked to my boss about using our workout hours. Starting next week I'm going to leave at 2:30pm Monday and Wednesday and go to the gym!
  17. Undergarments are done! We'll I still need to fold and put away socks but they are done. 1 whole trash bag to trash! Still no soda and need to write my HOA check to drop off tomorrow.
  18. I've never made anything but Kool Aid in a big pitcher and half that was sugar. Lol. I should try it with tea. My mom used to make sun tea in a huge glass pitcher. She would make it outside during the one week of sun we would get in the summer. Being financially responsible feels so good.
  19. I think I could actually do this mini and not be overwhelmed! I'm in.
  20. Been drinking more iced tea lately instead of soda, even had some pizza and didn't cave. Reworked my budget because my HOA's went up. Had to make some adjustments to spending and saving amounts. Went through and paid all online bills as well as made an extra payment on my Care Credit loan. Only bills left to pay are auto pay bills and my HOA, which I need to drop off before the 10th. Moved money into savings, next paycheck I'll move 50 more. Went and got cash this weekend to cover gas, groceries and the spending money I have budgeted. I'm trying hard to go cash only. Home Clothes are all in the 2nd bedroom now. Plan is to go through undergarments tonight. I'm switching up the order because I realized I have a lot of shirts that might be sentimental to me and I want to save those for last. Items 1-4 are all ready to go through. 5-7 will be compiled once the others are done. 21. Still no soda and before Book Club tonight I moved all my clothes from my closet to the 2nd bedroom. I now have a pile of clothes that is as high as my waist. All that's left is the stuff in my bedroom that I've been too lazy to do anything with.
  22. I'm like a child, anything to stay awake.
  23. Feels good to be back in the challenge swing! Awesome job on tidying up the kitchen. I can't wait to get there. The spark joy concept makes more sense if you read the book. She barely touches on it in the first episode. The sparks joy concept is about creating an environmental that makes you happy. So you only want to keep items that make you feel joy. She says that we only have the capacity to be emotional attached to so many things at a time so make sure you're attached for the right reasons and to the items that truly matter to you. I was feeling super unmotivated to be a human today, and after a 2 hour nap I made a deal with myself. Watch the first episode of the new Marie Kondo show and if I'm not motivated to make some progress, then shower and go to bed early. I ended up moving all my clothes from the hallway, my downstairs jackets and a quarter of my bedroom clothes to my 2nd bedroom. They are in piles by bottoms, tops, cardigans, undergarments and jackets. I made good progress. Also, Marie Kondo is like a ray of sunshine!
