  6. Unfortunatelly, this year we are about 23-24 players (there are 3 injuried players and a lot of people that after the last year have left the team, although the last season was an amazing season, in fact this year we have been promoted)...So this year we are ALL on the list for the match...We know the start line-up and the sidelines only an hour and half before the match...So i can not gauge how hard to work in my workouts...so...i'll give it all anytime HOWEVER...yesterday it was an training under the rain...tackling, push ups, AB...MUD everywhere...yesterday i understood the sentence: "i put my head where you didn't want to put your feet" Ps:in Italy we play on "Serie C"...it is the lowest level for a rugby team...And it is organized by shire...Now...in my shire there is the first division, in which we play this year, and the second division, in which we plaied last year...

  8. Championship in pause this week (National match...Italy-New Zeland...in Rome...AMAZING ) So...Tue our coach has been focused on cardio (1hr of running and sprint...with some exercises as warm up, and techical train for the maul). Unluckly...yesterday i miss my workout...sorry guys but i was too tired But i can rescue it on saturnady, couse this sunday there isn't any match... So...i'll train on friday and saturnady...on the next match i would like to stay on sidelines...ALMOST... A little good news: Body Fat percentage:27%...i am on a diet since a mounth, but now i'm switching on Paleo diet...and actual wheight is 94kg... Ps: Aj...tryed a scrum as hooker...WOOOOOOW it's better than playing as prop
  9. Thanks Jimmie I hope to do a good work
  10. No...no game time...I went on stand... However...can we continue on the new thread that i opened on the new challenge area?
  11. I am a 25y old guy. I play rugby as Front row, but i would like to play as flanker/n8. Now...to do that i need to go to gym, but i am also a medical student...so i didn't have much time. So...i enlist myself on the BW Brigade...and i'll follow that guide to get in the right shape Now... First challenge...let's do it Workout 2 times at week [+2 STR] Be able to do pull ups (now only chair assisted)[+1 STR] Complete the 22 shuttle in less than 3min, no stop[+4DES] Cut "bad food" (pig meat) [+4COS] Play a match Pass the December exam Ok... As a rugby player since november 2011, i didn't play a match...Now the season it's just started and i want to give my help to the team... i'm 177cm x 95kg, and i play as prop...but my coach says that i can play flanker or N8...so let's work about that... The first point it's linked to my lifestyle...i'm a medical student, and 2 times at week i go on my ward...i'll train on the field whit the team on the Tue and Thu...so i'll do my BW Workout (Following the BW Brigade Workout) on the Wed and Fri... Second point...to lift 95kg it's too difficult...but i want to try whit more simple exercise, but at the end of this challenge i want to be able to do a pull up... Third...my stamina it's not so big...so let's try to improve it...as a N8 i have to be EVERYWHERE on the field... Fourth...my typical dinner is a sandwich whit cold cut...so let's cut them and let's get in salad and cucumber Fifth...this season i didn't play a match jet...i hope to do it as soon as possible...working hard and harder... Sixth...December exam...it is a big one...and i don't like the subject...so let's destroy it... I'll report tonight for the first field trainig...see you soon
  12. First BW WO... Chin Ups (chair assisted) max reps x4: 10 8 6 4 Close hand push ups: 12 10 10 8 Lunges: 45 30 17 15 (TOO MANY!!!) Plank: 35sec 35sec 33sec Now...On my last field training the coach told me to try the scrum as hooker...and...I LIKE IT Tomorrow there is the match... probably i'll stay on sidelines...but during the match very probably i'll go in (The other hooker can play is our best N8...so the coach can tell me to start the match from the kick off )
  13. I'am able to finish a complete training on the field...but maybe i can not play a complete match...
  14. On the field training, the coach give us 15-25 minutes of cardio (it depends if it's the Tuesday training, 25minutes, or if it's the Thursday training)... After some field lap, we go on the try line...and we start to jog keeping the line, ad doing different type of jogging (high knees, "high skip" in which you do fast movement of your feet but the knees are down and "heel to butt" jog). During this exercise we do some AB exercise and some push up...usually 120 AB (3x20 crunch whit lifted leg and hand on chest and 3x20 scissor kick o seated leg circle, sometime he adds side plank, 1min each side). We end these phase whit sprints (First from the 22 line to the try line, after that jogging until the 22 line, here we do some push ups or AB, then a sprint from the half line to the opposite try line, and another time jogging and ab exercise on the half line, and finally a sprint from a try line to the other try line) After that we start the technical and tactical training...
  15. Mmm...but if i want to train myself to play properly as prop, the BW workout it's not enough right? Cause today i talked whit my coach and he said that this season i will play as prop...so...it's better to focus on these role...at the end season maybe i'll discuss whit him about position moves... Ps: i have posted my challenge on the ranger guild...i will be happy if you will follow my "battle"

  17. No no no no...i love to play whit forward My coach, the first time he saw me, said that i can play flanker...after that my low stamina moves me in front row...but i would like to play as flaker (better as N8 i love the N8 role ) Now...using the free day...how can i become a flanker/N8? The BW session are enough? Play as center...well...a center 177cm x 81kg (my "desiderable" weight according a doctor friend) it's not bad...but...my heart is on forward
  18. No no...it is rugby union...so 15 people on the field
  19. Thanks for replying I play as prop, i am 177cm x 95kg...But the first time the coach saw me he said:"You can play as flanker"... In my division we play on Sunday, not on Saturnday But our highest division (Eccellenza, Serie play on Saturnday The season has begun on the 7th of October...next Sunday (11/11), it's the fourth match of the season...Here in Italy, and especially in Apulia, there are not many rugby team...but in the North there are a lot of team... However...my situation it's complicated I am too "slim" to play as prop (or not?) Too short to play as second row Too slow and whit not enough stamina to play as flanker... Solution? The Hooker...maybe... It's a mess right?

In the sheet the Monday-Wednesday-Friday are workout day, and Tuesday and Thursday are rest day...but in those day i have the field train... someone can help me? Ps: i'm thinking to have only one workout at week, on friday, but i think that it isn't enough... Pps:sorry for my english...i'm italian...
