  1. Hit me up on Facebook, we can write together and share our work if that's what you're into. The Shakespeare class will be awesome. I'm a huge Shakes nerd too. Picking a genre is overrated but unfortunately when you get published, you have to pick one. Hopefully the agent will do it for me.
  2. Report: Day 2 I know I didn't report last night but I was busy. Things are going to get interesting soon, I can feel it. I have completed the missions I was given. Details are as follows. 1. No running today. I have an injury (story later) and thought it was better not to aggravate it. 2. Wrote 1000+ words. 3. Went over caloric intake, but not by much. Stayed within acceptable parameters of macros. 4. Completed to do list. So far, so good in this challenge.
  3. So I came up with a fun way to up my word count and to practice writing even when I have writer's block. I decided that every day, or at least the days when I don't have anything else to write, I'm going to make up a page long story based on each of the top 5 results of my reddit page. There are so many crazy things on reddit and some of them are begging for a story. So far I have written two with the titles "Not Guilty" and "Sushi." That's about 400 words right there.
  4. Incoming message from the Secret Agency of Secret Stuff (S.A.S.S.) Dear Devyn, The following orders are to be carried out immediately. YOUR MISSIONS FOR TODAY: Row 5k Write 700 words Stay under caloric intake Finish To Do List After completion of your mission, and by the end of the day, report back to us on the details of your mission. Do not be late like last time. --Agent Z
  5. I type them up in google docs and check word count there. Most of what I'm writing is in my notebook and I know 100 words is roughly half a page so I count it that way. I'm probably going to get more creative here as time goes by but right now I'm sussing everything out. Next week's mission might involve more of a story.
  6. Report: Day 1 Okay, so I'm a little late. I'm a kender, okay? I was busy adventuring. Dear SASS, I have completed the missions I was given. Details are as follows. 1. Ran 6 miles. It's amazing how far you can run when you're being chased by a rabid bugbear. That really happened. I'm not making it up. Why does everyone think I make this stuff up? 2. Wrote 600+ words: It was a fantastic story you'll never read. 3. Stayed under caloric limit or intake. You know, that mission didn't really make sense. You should really proofread your missions before you send them out. 4. Completed to do list. You should have seen my fly on that to do list. Did it all by 10.30 in the morning. Now that's done. That was easy. Don't you have harder stuff for this agent?
  7. THANKS!!! Let's hope I can keep it up.
  8. Nerdly runners, I'm looking for some awesome virtual runs. Last year there were some cool nerdly ones like the Nerd Herd races and the Oatmeal and I'm looking for some cool themed runs like those. Does anyone know of any? I'm also cool with not so virtual ones as long as they're awesome.
  9. You didn't get your father back, you son of a bitch. But for reals, dummyface, are you doing this challenge or what?

  11. Thanks! Yeah I figured it would be great motivation to lose some weight so I don't look silly posting pictures of my flabby tummy. Chuck is fantastic! I loved it so much, it inspired me to get back into working out so I could be awesome like Sarah. I defy you not to hear the first few notes of Short Skirt Long Jacket when you see this. You should totally watch Chuck again! I want to too! We should totes push each other on the writing habit. I'm taking Fiction Forms and Shakespeare Analysis this semester. As for what I write, I'm not really sure. I don't have a genre. I like to call what I write LiteraryMysticalRealismHumorousHistoricalFantasyYA Fiction.
  12. Not only do I love your goals, but kudos to you for making a Shakespeare theme. I don't know if I've ever seen Shakespeare used in a fitness challenge!
  13. Oooh! I love the way you set up your challenge. Nice and organized but with an imaginative flair!

  17. I like your tl;dr stuff lately. Not that I don't read your stuff, but for someone who forgets things easily, it's nice to have a recap. Also, I love how you incorporated multiple classes to your workout. I may have to borrow that idea. Good luck! May the force be with you.
  18. Wow look at you! Good, simple challenge but still effective! I love it!
  19. Que bueno! I like your goals! *cheers from me! YOU CAN DO IT!

  23. Shhh, I can tell you no secrets. I'm not training for a marathon in 8 weeks, I've been training for several months now, but there's just 8 weeks left.
  24. Thanks. The diet thing is what I've been struggling with the most. So it's going to be tough, but I can do it.
