  1. Yay! Someone to help me fight off the boredom. As long as you still want to be fit, I forgive you. Follow Dubhe's example and come back to the light.
  2. Ok here it goes. Work out at least 30 minutes ever day: I've stopped doing the P90X all together. I have been able to find a gym and start back on my original workout plan. I lost use of a gym during my first 6 week challenge and I have yearned for the burn only the gods of the squat can provide. That being said, I did bodyweight exercises for the past 3 weeks and can see that though I'm not losing weight, I'm gaining flexability. Now back to the lift. Run at least twice a week: Oh my God. How I hate running. I've found that the hatred stems from me being surrounded by hills. I've take to running on the track and I actually like it much better. I'm going to change this to running to my gym. We'll see how the elevation affects this. Eat more variety: Though I've fallen back to eating roughly the same things everyday, I'm changing little things about them everytime. A boring old salad becomes a Sante Fe type feast. Turkey burgers and sausage, different types of eggs, all flavors of oatmeal. Taking what I know and expanding. Meditate every day: Meditating in the shower is now my go to thing since I don't have a lot of time anymore. Purging myself of all of the distractions of the day has helped to keep me sane. Be positive: Only once during these past 3 weeks have I argued with someone and even then I didn't "Blow my Top" and start yelling at him. Though I was angry, I kept my voice level and only started to say all the really bad stuff after he left. Another customer told me that I come off as smug. Apparently my accent and speech patterns turn people off. Now I know why everyone in Texas hates me. I'm going to try to alleviate that. Something odd has been happening. I've stayed at 160 lbs but I've dropped bf% and started to get leaner. I'm getting more complements daily and noticed a shift in tone with the way people talk to me. But only with men. I've had hard-core gangsters, people I've seen for years tell me that I'm looking good and if I lift or do P90x. Random people at the grocery store or in parking lots. All male. It's weird that the only feedback I've gotten from females has been negative. One of my friend even told me that she misses the fat and cuddly me. She didn't like feeling my muscles when she hugged me. I just don't get it. Oh and I loved this one. "No homo fam, but do you do that p90x sh&*t cause you look good son. Like what lifts do you do cause I like your shoulders. That chest looks tight."
  3. Whew, finally a computer with formatting. Here is my list. Star wars or LOTR Star wars extended universe but if we just count the mainstream then LOTR Hero or Villian A conflicted Hero or a moral Villian. The ones that make you think. Fav Superhero/Villian Oldschool Deadpool or Greenlantern Fav Game I like Adam have a hard time with this. Morality: Spec Ops: The Line (Heart of Darkness) Teamwork: MAG Freedom: Skyrim Quick Fun: Just Dance Fav movie A few here as well: Suckerpunch, Equilibrium, 21 Jump Street, Pulp Fiction, Inception Cats or Dogs Dog: Husky, Akita, and Pitbull Fav Exercise Deadlift Least Fav exercise Any Ab workout
  4. On the weight training topic, use dumbbells instead of barbells so that you can still workout without a spotter.
  5. I just want to know how you are doing. It doesn't need to be a full update. Anything would be appreciated.
  6. You definitely showed me up Adam. I'm improving but I need to catch up to you. And yeah this competition between us is only in my head.
  7. Typing everything on a phone is hard. I'm going to try to find a computer to update everyone soon but it is not a guarantee. I've change my workouts to the basic body-weight routines but I really want to get back into P90X. I'm going to try to find a copy somewhere. I'm making stir-fry and omelets and it is starting to get interesting. I've made a few mistakes with the spices but I'm sure I'll get better. My meditation is off this week. I have too many things on my mind and it is getting harder and harder to clear it. Hopefully this weekend will get me back on track.
  8. What's up Dubhe? How is Chesire treating you? Has a rogue lion escaped from the zoo and you're the only one who can handle it? Maybe an alligator was swimming in the canal and you decided to wrestle it. Anyways tell me what has been going on in your life.
  9. Hi Emily. So you're moved in and the place is covered in boxes. While you move the boxes to their assigned rooms, a sweat starts to get worked up. As soon as you place the last box down, you a hear a chime. Achievement unlocked! You did your workout for the day. You start singing to yourself in happiness. Boom, Achievement unlocked! You sung for the day. All of that moving made you hungry. There is nothing in the refrigerator so you have to go out to eat. You say no to some yummy poutine, dodge the desert, and finally find a nice chicken salad. Kachow, Achievement unlocked! All of a sudden a freak avalanche starts forming out of nowhere. Loving the challenge, you snowboard home. Woohoo, Achievement unlocked! So was your week something like that or what?
  10. Hey Sam. I haven't heard from you in a while. Are you still sick? Do some stretches, stare at the sun (how is the weather in Brisbane), and give me an update. Did you walk a quarter mile while wandering around your house? Have you recovered and are in search of a Koala bear to hug? Have all the trains decided to switch their tracks while you weren't looking?
  11. I just can't seem to find the time. I'll try and move some things around tomorrow to tell a full update. I have completed the first mission for Zombie run and worked out UFC style. Yoga and meditation in one along with rethinking my happiness is going smoothly.
  12. Nope to the big update. I ran today for about two miles. I'll try to give a better update along with the week ending update tonight.
  13. Worked out everyday but I'm about to change my plan. Haven't run yet but I still have two days. Haven't bought that many groceries. I've just been trying out different salad creations. Lapsed and had pizza yesterday that made me sick. I'll give a full update when I can.
  14. Week 1 update (I know, I know, it's late) Goal 1: Work out at least 30 minutes ever day: I'm changing this to 5 times a week. It interferes too much with goal 2. I was successful in this, and for most of the days, worked out way more than 30 minutes. I am going to have to use a different workout plan. I'm thinking a mix of beginner's body weight and yoga with some weight thrown in. We shall see how it goes. Goal 2: Run at least twice a week: My hatred for running hasn't decreased but I'm sticking with it. This week should be interesting. Goal 3: Eat more variety: This week was good but our family just got over 50 eggs (school thing). Any recipes for eggs would be greatly appreciated. Goal 4: Meditate every day: Meditating is awesome! I love wasting water and meditating in the shower (only for a few minutes). I wonder how a waterfall would feel. Goal 5: Be Positive: My attitude has changed over the week. I'm no longer angry all of the time and I'm starting to smile more. The meditation and the regulated sleep schedule helped out a lot. My move got delayed but my stuff is all packed up. Hopefully this will end soon.
