  1. I don't eat beans. It's got nothing to do with the paleo diet it's just one of those foods that I don't get along. Aldi and Trader Joe's, I'll have to look around and see what I have near by. Thanks!
  2. Thank you for the help! :-) I've been cutting back and hitting sales. I've just recently running out of my cooking oils so I was looking at the prices. It was a bit painful. I didn't notice how costly they are before.
  3. I could really use some ideas on how to eat healthy while cutting cost. My husband is jobless and we are living off of my income that was never meant for more then one person to survive on. It's been a rough year so far and we are doing our best to change our situation but until then I don't have much to work with so I need to get the most from every penny. I also want to get back on track. I was eating paloe a while back but life happened and I fell back into my old ways. I'd like to get back to it and get my husband to eat better too. So, In your experience: What items are worth the extra money? What items aren't worth the money? What items give you the most bang for your buck? Are there things that you would always buy the organic version of? Why? Thank you for the help!
  4. Never met a druid that would go hiking, kayaking, climbing, camping, skiing, snow shoeing, caving, biking, sailing, swimming or anything else I'd call outdoorsy with me. Not saying they aren't out there but my friends that meet the druid description on NF are happier laying on the beach while all the rest of us sailing. Maybe it should stand alone as it's own thing because lots of different people enjoy one or many out door activities like the ones listed. I have 4 ranges, 2 assassins, and 2 warriors that I pretty much spent every nice weekend with having some kind of out doors adventure with.

  6. lol! I like this guy! I also agree with him. You can do this and It will open up all sorts of time for you to do other things. Maybe start making a list of things you want to get done and not let yourself look at a screen till you have done everything on the list. Plan things to get you away from the screens. It's been really nice weather where I am if it's the same where you are why not go for a walk in the park?

  9. thanks! I will! Guacamole is yummy. I'm so glad I'm trying new foods and learning new recipes. It's a lot of fun and It's another great outlet for creativity. I worked out on Saturday morning just 1 circuit and then today I did 1 1/2 BBW circuits. half a circuit closer then I was last week. I went to a party on saturday so I used my cheat meals on brownies with ice cream on top and primanti brothers total worth the cheat. Other then that I haven't gotten sick so I must be doing a good job at combining food to avoid over dosing on iron. :-) I took pictures this week for that photo club but I won't be able to post them till tonight.

  11. I think I did well for week one but then week one is always easy it's week 3-5 that are a bit challenging. I used my cheat meals at a birthday party on Saturday and I had to wait to make guacamole till Sunday because my avocados weren't ripe but I did and it's awesome!
  12. My new food is avocado. I tried to make guacamole but failed because the avocado's aren't ripe enough. I've never seen the difference between a ripe and not ripe avocado before so I had to call in help from my Aunt who told me to let them sit in the sun and when they look Dark almost black ish to try again. Last night was just all around depressing for me and I couldn't get to sleep so I put off my work out this morning till tomorrow. On the bright side I think I fixed my diet so I'm not so hungry all the time.

  14. There's a place for that? That would have been helpful before I found all of you here in this awesome group.
