  1. Wednesday: I'm finally starting to get less sore than before. Walked 2 miles. Did both routines. Took 3 breaks. Edited for 10 minutes.
  2. Tuesday: walked 2 miles, took 3 breaks, wrote for 10 minutes, completed 2 routines.
  3. Oh, that's awful! We had a nasty bee infestation this summer. One night my son woke up screaming, and when I rushed to him he had a bee in his eye. It didn't sting him, fortunately, but it terrified him!
  4. Monday: Despite every muscle in my body aching from yesterday's parkour lesson, I still walked my 2 miles. Took 3 breaks. Did both routines. Edited for 10 minutes.
  5. In an effort to try something new, I found a parkour gym that offered the first class free. So, my kids and I took an hour and a half long parkour class this afternoon. I was sweating like crazy and out of breath half the time. Now (several hours later) my entire body is sore. My legs, in particular, are so sore that I can barely manage to climb the stairs. However, we all had a lot of fun. I just wish we could afford to do it every Sunday!
  6. Sunday: Took a parkour class with my kids. Walked for a but (about a mile and a half). No breaks on weekends. Did both routines. Edited for 10 minutes.
  7. Saturday: No walking, but I did take my kids to the pumpkin patch. We wandered through the corn maze, walked around the farm, and hauled pumpkins home! No breaks since it's not a workday. Did both my routines. Edited for 10 minutes.
  8. Friday: Walked 2 miles. Took 3 breaks at work. Did both my routines. Edited my novel for 10 minutes.
  9. Thursday: Walked 2 miles. Took 3 breaks at work. Spent 10 minutes editing. Did both routines.
  10. Thursday: Walked 2 miles. Took 3 breaks at work. Spent 10 minutes editing. Did both routines.
  11. Wow! Work and kids got hectic, and I stopped posting updates. This led to a downturn in doing my goals. So, I added "update Nerd Fitness" as part of my evening routine. Last Tuesday: walked 2 miles, did both routines, edited 10 minutes, 1 break at work Wednesday: walked 2 miles, did both routines, edited 10 minutes, 1 break at work Thursday: walked 2 miles, did both routines, edited 10 minutes, 1 break at work Friday: walked 2 miles, did both routines, no editing, 1 break at work Saturday: no routines, edited for 10 minutes Sunday: evening routine, no editing Monday: walked 2 miles, did both routines, no editing, 2 breaks at work Tuesday (today): walked 2 miles, did both routines, 10 minutes editing, 1 break at work
  12. Saturday: walked 2.7 miles, but not couting it for this challenge as it wasn't a weekday. Also, did both my routines and edited for 10 minutes. Sunday: no walking, only 1 routine done, and no editing...I weirdly got sucked into watching the final day of the Ryder Cup. Monday: walked 2.1 miles, did both my routines, took 3 breaks at work, and editied for 10 minutes. Back on the horse! Yeehaw!
  13. I'm joining late, again. I will do 15 wall push-ups on each of my two 10-minute breaks for the next 4 days. To make up for missing today, on Saturday I will max out my full-body push-ups, then max out on knee push-ups, and then max out on wall push-ups. Sunday, as always, will be my rest day.
  14. Thursday: walked 2 miles, took 3 breaks, edited for 10 minutes, completed 2 routines. Friday: walked 2 mikles, took 3 breaks, edited for 10 minutes, completed 2 routines. So proud that I kept up with everything despite the mess in my personal life. Hubby went for his CDL physical and they said his blood sugar was way too high. The doc pulled his ticket, so until he gets this managed he can't work. For a while, we weren't sure if he would need to start insulin injections, which would have meant no more CDL ever. He does have to take pills, but he may be able to get his CDL back. Still, it made for a stressful couple of days!
  15. Thanks! Can I ask where your username comes from? Every time I see it I'm reminded of a line from Bohemian Gravity, so I'm curious!
  16. Not so much anger the last couple of days, but a definite intesification of stress. My husband has lost his job (may or may not be permanent) due to health reasons. My work neglected to tell me the documents from my school never arrived, which means my current salary is listed as being $15,000 a year less than it should be! And, of course, work stresses kept popping up. I love my job, but some days are more about putting out fires than accomplishing things! Overall, I stayed pretty calm. I even managed to tell my husband yesterday that I was not going to continue a conversation on my way to work that was stressing me out. This let me focus on what I needed to do at work, and by the time I talked to him after work the problem had been resolved!
  17. Tuesday: walked 2 miles (depsite the pouring rain), took 3 breaks at work, did both routines, and spent 10 mintues editing my novel. Wednesday: walked 2 miles, took 3 breaks at work, did both routines, and spent 10 minutes editing my novel.
  18. Yesterday I talked to my team lead about the whole not having an office thing. He is working on it, so hopefully that will produce some results quickly. Anger-wise, I've been noticing that the most anger I have is usually anger with other drivers during my 1 1/2 - 2 hour long commute. I get particularly testy when traffic is barely moving because "oh my gosh people are merging on so everyone must drive slowly"! Today I decided to use my navi to skip the interstate. I didn't save any time, but I had much less traffic to deal with and I felt like I was moving at a sensible speed the whole time! It was much les stressful and I was much less angry!
  19. Day 6 (Sunday): No walking today. My calf needed a break. No breaks since it wasn't a work day. I completed both my routine. I spent 10 minutes editing my novel. Day 7 (Monday): I walked 2.1 miles after I got home from work. I took 3 breaks (although they were a bit scattered due to specific time constraints at work today). Both my routines were completed. I spent 10 minutes editing my novel.
  20. Week One was a success! 6/6 (since I started a bit late)! Week Two: I am going to practice making a choice when I get angry. Either I will do some quick meditation or I will take action. I tend to complain a lot when I should simply do something. The big thing for this week will be putting the wheels in motion to deal with my lack of office space at the school I work at Mondays. Tomorrow I will email my team lead and let him know that this is a problem, what has been done so far, and ask him for advice. Odds are, he'll go light a fire under someone's butt and get things moving.
  21. Do you teach? I taught one class last spring, and I wanted to scream half the time because I seriously could not have made the class any easier, yet over half the students didn't study (despite being told exactly what to study) and pretty much failed the class! I ended up so frustrated I decided not to look for another teaching gig after we moved!
  22. Day 5 (Saturday): I walked 2.1 miles. I'm not counting it in my total since the numbers I calculated assumed walking only on weekdays. I did not take any breaks since it was not a work day. I completed both my routines. I spent 10 minutes working on editing my novel!
  23. I put on makeup on Saturday and Sunday! I defintiely feel more confident when I have pretty eye shadow on! Plus, it acts as a subtle form of rebellion against the whole "mature, working mom" vibe since my eye shadow has uber-geeky names! Today I'm wearing Exterminate and Bad Wolf which are both from the Timey Wimey collection.
  24. Day 3: Walked my 2 miles. There's a killer hill on my first mile walk on Thursdays and Fridays. Took my 3 breaks, and walked on each of the short ones. Did both my routines. Spent 10 minutes editing. Day 4: Walked my 2 miles. My calves are not happy with the hills. Took my 3 breaks, but didn't go and walk on them. They were lest restful because of that, so I plan to go back to short walks on them. Did my morning routine, but was so exhausted I ended up falling asleep partway through the evening one. Spent 10 minutes editing.
  25. Makeup was worn on Friday!
