  4. I love how you're goals are so simple. What a great way to keep your mind in the right zone while letting your body get the pace it needs!

  7. Ooh! Looks like I'll have to do somw updating before the start of the next challenge! In other news...yesterday I knocked out Week 8 Day 1! It's so great to realize that six weeks ago I was pushing myself to run 3 minutes without stopping, and now I can run for a straight 20 minutes and still feel like I could keep going!

  9. Welcome to the Scouts! You're remarks about running made me think that you may be interested in the Zombies!Run app (there is also the Zombies!5K app which is like a zombie filled C25K program). It's very well put together and makes trainign much more interesting! Plus, it's available on Android and iPhone!

  11. Some great goals there! I love how you're going to work with your wife on the diet goal. Making sure you build in that support system right from the beginning is key! I know my own diet plan is going to go very smoothly since I enlisted my wife (who does most of the cooking)! It's great havign someone physically present that you are accountable to!
  12. Welcome back! I totally feel you about the fluids! I try to drink about 100 oz of water a day, and was doing pretty well...then work started again. I work in a school and having to pee every ten minutes is not plausible with my job! Still not sure how I'm going to address this myself!
  13. Welcome to the Scouts! I love how your challenges really embrace the ideal of the Scouts while accommodating your physical issues and other workout needs! I look forward to seeing your progress! Also, with my writing I have found that when I am stagnating it picks up if I get a challenge of some kind. For example, I challenge you to incorporate a unicorn in your first chapter. This can take on many forms all depending on the 'verse in which you are writing! (Real unicorn, plush unicorn, ship named The Unicorn, etc...) So, if you ever need a random challenge to help pull your novel in a random direction, just message me and I'd be glad to give you some randomness!
  14. Thanks for the encouragement, Princess Pineapple! Today was not a running day. However, it was a day in which I knocked off everything on my to do list! Yay! Tomorrow...more running!
  15. The last challenge was far more successful than any challenge I have previously tried! With that in mind, I am going to keep the momentum going! Week Zero! For Week Zero I will finish my Zombies!5K App. I am currently starting Week 8. That means I have three more runs to do (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday)! If I finish all three runs, I will earn +2 Constitution Done! Goal One Goal One is to continue moving. I am going to transition to the Zombies!Run app. I will run every other day, and I will walk at least 2 miles on the days when I do not run. +2 Strength +1 Stamina 3 Days Complete! A = 40-42 B = 35-39 C = 30-34 D = 20-29 F = <20 Goal Two Goal Three is to eat no grains during breakfast and lunch. This will be a tough one since I frequently eat oatmeal. + 2 Wisdom 5 Days Complete! A = 40-42 B = 35-39 C = 30-34 D = 20-29 F = <20 Goal Three I will only eat one dessert (or less) a week! + 2 Constitution 5 Days Complete! Six Weeks = A Five Weeks = B Four Weeks = C Three Weeks = D Two Weeks or Less = F Life Goal This challenge's life goal is to have my house clean at bedtime every night. +3 Charisma 4 Days Complete! A = 40-42 B = 35-39 C = 30-34 D = 20-29 F = <20
  16. Somehow, my counting got messed up! Anyways, on Friday, I walked 2 miles and did not eat fast food. However, I muffed my water and writing goals. On Saturday, I walked 2 miles and did not eat fast food. I again muffed water and writing. Sunday I walked 2 miles. Fast food, water, and writing all failed, though. Final count: Exercise: 42/42 Fast Food: 40/42 Water: 39/42 Writing: 39/42 Overall, I'm feeling very good about this challenge. I'm usually bombing everything by week 2 at the latest. Next challenge, I'm going to improve on this challenge! Also, while the weekend was not challenge friendly, it was a good weekend. On Saturday, my wife and I went and got matching tattoos. We also got makeovers at Bare Minerals, and we bought new makeup. Sunday, we both got haircuts (I got mine trimmed and she got bangs), waxed our eyebrows, and got piercings (she got her earlobes pierced and I got my cartilage pierced)! It was a great weekend. Today (Monday) I did Week 7 Day 3 of the Zombies!5K challenge. I'm going to continue running this week, so I'd love for you all to be there to encourage me this week as I knock out the last week of the Zombies!5K app!
  17. Day 37 Walked 2 miles Drank 4 bottles of water Worked on my novel for 10 minutes I DID eat fast food today. Originally, I had been planning on going grocery shopping immediately after work since we are totally out of food. However, an unexpected meeting at the end of the day had me getting off an hour and a half late. By the time I got home and was ready to leave it was much later than I had planned. To top things off, a huge thunderstorm had moved in and I was not comfortable driving all the way to the store. So, i made an intentional decision to get fast food for dinner. It wasn't the healthiest since I had to order off the dollar menu (with a family of five it's too expensive to do anything else). I'm counting it as a fail for challenge purposes, but I think it's more of a win in life since it was a deliberate decision and not a spur of the moment thing.

I'm just glad that I've kept the consistency up! This week is my first week back at work and it has been crazy hectic! This morning was really tough. I really did not want to go running, but I did manage to drag myself out of bed and get my run in!
