  1. I am very happy with the outcome of the challenge. Preparing all of my meals and not eating out was possibly the hardest challenge. I have found that it is indeed more cost effective to cook at home than eat out. It is going to be nice to go out with friends to eat again, but I feel that I have learned that ordering takeout for lunch for the matter of convenience isn't necessary, and I can just as easily eat a healthy lower cost nutritious meal at home, or prepare it to take to work with me. I did switch books in the last couple weeks as I'm bringing home my puppy in a couple weeks, and I

  3. Way to own your goals. I appreciate your actively following my thread and putting in the time keeping me and others engaged. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  4. Her mother is German Shepherd and we believe that the father is black lab because she looks like a black lab. My brother and his girlfriend have been keeping her during the early stages of puppy hood. She is about 16 weeks old. Well back to reading. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  5. I finally seen something I havn't seen in years! two zero's on the scale! I weiged in at the gym today and hit my goal of 200lbs. I have kept up in the classes, and still have been getting a couple good runs in the past couple weeks. I havn't made any further progression in my book reading though. I'm getting a puppy so I switched directions and started reading how to raise the perfect dog. I have nearly finished it. I think my issue with the other book is every time I read something in it I just decide I need to head to the kitchen and apply what I learned... that has been slowing dow
  6. I hit all of my fitness and diet goals last week. I hit my minimum of 3 classes, and ran outside on off days. last week had some beautiful and warm weather again. I am falling behind on my reading so I'm going to need to focus on that in my free time this week if I'm going to meet that goal.
  7. Great information. I actually did track all my food for about 6 months. Now I do off and on. Yesterday we had strangely warm weather 75 degrees. I ran a little over 6 miles. And spent most of the day being filmed and interviewed for a health documentary. I really enjoyed class this morning. It is cold and snowing now. Guess warm weather can't be every day of winter in Kansas. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  8. This week has been going good. I have done hiit or trx class every day except Monday. I also did eat out one meal which I only did as proceeds were going to help a kindergartener with ALL. Have one more class tomorrow. Sunday is my running day. I feel like I may need to work on lowering my portions if I'm going to hit the 200lbs mark. All the classes have increased my appetite. 9. I'm really just beginning on TRX stuff too. One of the trainers for the Saturday boot camp class also has a class for TRX twice a week at the same time in the morning as my hiit class. I'm going to start going to those next week. Then I can have morning classes 6 days a week. I noticed the same thing with the TRX chest press personally I prefer using dumb bells for press for that reason. My favorite of the TRX stuff I've done which is pretty limited still at this point is either the TRX back row or the TRX tricep extensions.
  10. I made it to all 3 hiit classes this week, and have hit my goals (except the 200lbs). Yesterday after class I spent the day changing out a leaky radiator, just to find the water pump needed replaced too. Didn’t expect that, so water pump is replaced, but the new radiator still needs put in. That is going to be Sunday’s after church and hopefully run project. I can't really remember exactly what all the WoDs were for this week now, Tuesday after our warm-up we did the dice game with partners. It was fun. There is a list of 6 groups of 2 exercises, we would roll a die and do whichever
  11. Way to go on the chin ups you've been dominating them on this challenge. I can't do them unassisted yet. In one of the classes at the gym the trainer showed us how to do the jumping pullup. I like doing that better than with the assist machine; feels like i'm hitting my back and legs and cardio all at the same time that way. I'm convinced that unassisted non jumping is the best way to go. I want to get to that point sooner than later.
  12. I added my WoDs for yesterday and today on my challange page Every major muscle group in my body is burning, so I know this week has done me good. I'm down to 203lb (only 3 from my goal) woot! I've hit ever goal on week one except one minor slip up on the not dining out. I ate a catered dinner at the anual employee meeting, I loaded my plate with salad and veggies, but still had a little room for the lasagnia which was pretty tasty but not nearly as good as something I would have made at home and since I was already breaking my rules I took a couple cookes too. My bad. I'll have to deduct

  15. I seen this quote on fb a couple days ago, kind of like it. Best I can tell it is C 2012 Ann Voskamp "When you are dying of thirst, passively reading about water quenches little; the only way to be quenched is to actually get a cup and drink. We have to do more than read and think and plan, we’ll have to do something."
