  1. I've already nominated one, but I wouldn't be upset if Ender's Game won either. I've read it twice, the rest of his saga, and all but one or two of Bean's. It's easily my favourite book ever (and I have an extensive collection of read books under my belt) and I would read it again in a heartbeat.
  2. Welcome. I joined this week myself and I've found it to be a very warm and supportive community. You'll find a great home here.
  3. Her's a quick goal list for me. Just so I have it written down. I'll go into more depth when I have a few extra mins. Goal 1: Work out at least 3 times a week (though I'm aiming for 5) Gosl 2: Cut out chips all together. I managed doing that with pop last year. Haven't had any at all since jan 1. I think I can go six weeks without any. Goal 3: Try making one new paleo meal each week. I'll be eating healthier overall, but I'm trying to become better at cooking. Goal 4: Get my license. My g1 expired in August so I have to kind of start over. As a 26 yr old I think it's time I got around to it. I want to at least have my driving test book before the end of the challenge, the test date can be outside of that if they don't have any earlier test dates. I'll have to get in a few lessons with a driving instructor in the mean time. Again, I'll do more of a break down in the days to come. Don't want to set them in stone until I know the changes they're planning.
  4. Welp, the holidays kicked my butt. I haven't done any working out and have been eating a lot of junk. January 1 will definitely be the beginning of all of this. Get it all out of my system in the interim and use the six week challenge to really kick my butt into gear! /shame
  5. I'm still trying to think of a reward for myself. I already got the big things I wanted for Xmas (ipad, winter coat, hot curlers) and I need to get my workout equipment now or I'll lose momentum using the excuse of not having the right stuff to do the job. I'll come up with something.
  6. I'm the same way; I spend all my time in the planning phase waiting for that perfect moment to start and always find excuses to procrastinate. I had to just start whether I felt ready or not. We're all here to encourage, not judge. If you slip, you slip. Just gotta get back up and keep moving forward. I believe in you!
  7. Yeah, I read that too. I'm curious what they're going to be.
  8. Yay! I'm really looking forward to starting the new challenge on Jan 1. I wish I could sign up now! I'm still kind of stuck on setting up my goals though.
  9. That sounds awesome. I'm Devi Italy gonna need to update my kitchen. We've got it set up for frozen dinners not for real cooking. I'm going to need to get a steamer and a broiler pan for the recipes ive come across so far.
  10. I attempted to add some photos, but for some reason it won't left me. Perhaps in the future.
  11. Love the determination and stick-to-it-iveness. Just because you slid back doesn't mean you can't keep moving forward. Keep on keepin on.
  12. I'm down. I just became a rebel today. Even did my first workout this afternoon. I really need the accountability to keep myself motivated so this would be great.
