  1. Thanks, I have been doing fine... Just had been on a week vacation and have not posted. im home now!
  2. 1. I rode my bike for 20 minutes. Monday is the first day for workouts this week!
  3. 1. Today I rode my bike for 40 minutes. I did 23 earlier in the day and did the rest this evening. 2. I drank 24 oz of water today 3. Workout Stretches then, Shoulder press 3x10 Floor Press 3x10 DB Row 3x10 Push ups 3x10 Body-weight Squats 3x10
  4. I did not reach my goal last challenge but I did not gain any weight either so that's good! My goal is to lose 10 lbs. Starting weight 191lbs 1. Bike on stationary bike at least 30 minutes each day 2. 20 oz water a day. 3. Workout 2 days a week. Monday and Thursdays are my workout days(though this week I will workout on Wed). My workout includes; stretches to begin with then.. push ups, body weight squats, dumbbell row, floor press, and shoulder press. On non workout days I still will do stretches.
  5. 1. I biked for 30 minutes 2. 30 oz water 3. Food baked potato and carrots (this was leftovers) squash stuffed with rice and ribeye meat (with tomato sauce) turkey sandwich 16 oz sweet tea, 14 oz milk, 30 oz water
  6. I didnt even realize apparently I have not posted since Sunday.. 1. I did a lot of garden work today so that was my exercise today 2. 20 oz water 3. Food Grilled chicken fingers, corn, rice o roni, a banana, pinto beans, a turkey sandwich 1 coke, 1 cup milk
  7. Saturday 1. I walked for 30 minutes but I am going back to the bike today I weight 191 lbs today 2. I had no water 3. Food Plain noodles with crab meat grilled chicken sandwich with a baked potato blueberries, strawberries and a banana 16 oz 2% milk 16 oz sweet tea 16 oz coke
  8. Had a few issues this week. Mom had surgery, siblings had a car wreck (they are fine). Will get back to it Saturday!
  9. 1. Today I biked for 20 minutes, I also did some hand weight exercises. 2. I drank 20 oz of water today 3. Food Turkey sandwich with 2% milk Baked chicken, rice, mushroom gravy, with potato fast food burger, fries and a coke 4. I did some writing today

  11. 1. I rode for 17 minutes today 2. I did stretches after riding the bike 3. Food: Grilled chicken fingers with a baked potato, peanut butter & jelly with banana sandwich, hummus with blueberry's. 16 oz milk, 16 oz coke. no water today 4. Had a lot of work and chores so did not have time to write again
  12. 1. Today I rode the bike for 20 minutes 2. No stretches'.. it's really hard to make myself do these, I don't know why.. 3. Food (leftovers 2x) Rice, yogurt, boiled corn(dinner, not leftover), general tso chicken. 16 0z 2% milk, 30 oz sweet tea, 20 oz water 4. No writing today
  13. 1. I went 15 minutes on the bike today 2. No stretches but will get to it this week 3. Since I am doing a food log, it will include the water so I will combine the two goals. Food log spaghetti (leftovers) rice with yogurt baked chicken 16 oz 2% milk 16 oz water general tso chicken 4. No writing today
  14. Today is the official first day of the challenge so I changed the calories logging to just food logging instead.
  15. 1. I did a lot of chores today but did not bike 2. I did some stretches in the morning 3. 16 oz water 4. Calories: 1,780 5. I did some editing of stuff I wrote so far
  16. 1. I did not bike but will get back to it tomorrow, just was not really home at the right time today/ 2. I did not stretch but will get back to it. 3. 24 oz water 4. Calories: 1,450 (I might change this to just food log for when the 5 weeks starts). 5. I thought of some things to write which I plan to add tomorrow, but did make notes.
  17. 1. I did not bike but I did do a lot of chores, so I stayed active today. 2. I did my stretches once, this evening. 3. I had 20 oz of water today, but probably too much coke. Will do better of course when the official challenge starts but may even change the goal to no coke at all. 4. Calories: 1,833. Right now I am guessing calories but will use a calculator after today. 5. Did not write today.
  18. 1. Today I biked for 20 minutes, I watched some tv while I biked. 2. I did my stretches once today. Doing them after exercising on the bike helps my muscles as they are more loose. 3. I had 18 oz of water. I did have coke and tea but only one serving of each. 4. Calories; 1,720 5. I worked on my writing. As you can probably tell, I have a hard time expounding on whatever I am talking about. I cannot describe things or know what I could say. Things that I may write and can only muster up 5 sentences; other people could make into 2 pages.. This is the same in how I talk to others too, I don't know what to say, what I could say...etc.
  19. 1.I biked 34 minutes. I watched tv while I biked. 2. I did my morning stretches, and will do my night ones before I go to sleep tonight. 3. I had about 23 oz of water. My fridge has a counter which shows how many oz of water I am getting. I did have milk, coke, and tea..but not too much of each, We went out to eat and I always drink coke when we go out, otherwise I would have skipped coke today to have just the tea. 4. Calories: 1,535 5. I did some writing today and wrote 423 words.
  20. Starting Stats M Age: 36 Height: 5'1 Weight: 194 lbs I have created several challenge threads but mostly failed at keeping them up and attaining any goals. A big part of it was depression as well as not getting good sleep. I have beaten my depression. Am I sad about being out of shape? Yes.. but that's not the depression I was feeling. I have been using my cpap machine more reguraly and feel much better with sleep! 1. Bike 30 minutes. I have a stationary bike which I have enjoyed riding. I will ride 30 minutes each day. 2. Stretches' 2x a day. I have almost no flexibility, so I need to work on that. 3.. Food and drink log My overall goal for the 5+ weeks is to lose 10 pounds.
  21. Thursday & Friday I did not post. Thursday I forgot and Friday I felt sick so I did not even get on the computer. I biked 30 minutes both days! Went to the dr. Thursday & have medicine for an ear infection.
  22. 1. rode stationary bike for 30 minutes. 2. I drank 20 oz of water 3. no box steps, but I did do some more garden work today 4.Food, I did not eat good today but.. I am glad I did still do the 30 minutes of exercising. After exercising I always feel like I am starving.. and very thirsty. Grilled chicken sandwich, fries, with some hot sauce. 28 oz sweet tea Rice, tomato slices, fried okra, fried eggplant, with the 20 oz water 16 oz 2% milk 3 scoops Mayfield chocolate ice-cream peanut butter, jelly, banana sandwich
  23. Today I weighed 193 lbs and I also measured my waist which is 48 inches around. I am not sure if riding on the stationary bike will put any muscle on my legs eventually. 1. I biked on the stationary bike for 30 minutes, hopefully as the days go by it gets easier. 2. I drank 20 oz of water before my bike ride. 3. I did 40 total box steps. 4. Food: I probably ate a bit much today but that was due to my mood, felt bad...but I did not let my feeling bad prevent me from exercising. 20 oz water Grilled chicken fingers with grilled peppers, onions, & tomatoes with one slice of bread. A small bowl of rice and eggplant with plain yogurt 20 oz 2% milk two chocolate chips ahoy cookies. 2 scoops chocolate ice cream a banana with peanut butter
  24. I biked today for 30 minutes. I am going to start listening to youtube while I bike so it wont be so boring I drank 20 oz of water Today I did house work as well as work in the garden, so I did not do box steps. After today I will include my food and drink intake.
  25. I have struggled for years with depression, lack of self esteem, and lack of motivation but I am ready! I actually have exercised 3 days already! I have to exercise & focus even on days I feel really down..etc. Male Age: 34 Height: 5'1 Weight: 192 My main goal for this 5 weeks is to lose 10 lbs My ultimate goal is to be healthy, but also there is a walking track near me..I would like to be able to run around it without losing my breath. I am a little bummed that on Saturday and Sunday I exercised (30 min each on the bike) but today I weigh 192 lbs, I weight 189 yesterday morning. Though I did eat an hour before I weighed. 1. Exercise bicycle - 30 minutes per day. I have a stationary bicycle, I have always intended to "walk" for exercise but I always got sidetracked by either the weather (way too hot or way too cold), motivation, and how bad I feel. When I walk, my lower back hurts. The stationary bike is much better! 2. Box steps. I have a box which is 5 inches high, I plan to do steps. 20 steps per starting leg. Meaning I will start my ascension with my right foot 100 times, then start on the left 100. 3. Drink 20 oz of water a day. Since I am short, I want to first see how my body reacts to 20 oz a day. If I feel I need more I'll add later. I plan to try and cut out cokes during the week and have 2-3 on the weekends. My other favorite drinks are 2% milk and sweet tea. 4. Food log
