  1. Ran today, c25k week 2 day 2. Cold. way too cold. Longsword with Dakao tonight, woo! I'm really liking it!
  2. Woo, that was a great jam! If any of you watch ninja warrior and remember the american, Levi Meeuwenburg, he was there, so that was cool! My knee also held up really well to the impacts that I took. Did some scary precisions, now I've gotta work on some vaults etc. Good weekend!
  3. Rest day yesterday (though I did work on kongs a little) now I'm off to San Antonio for a 3 day parkour jam!

  6. Welcome! If you're interested in learning parkour, german longsword, messing around with tricking, or getting a personal trainer, I know some people in Houston proper that I can put you in touch with!
  7. C25K week 2 day 1 today: run 90 seconds, walk 2 minutes for 20 minutes. Feels so much better already! I really like this method of easing into it. =)

  9. C25K day 3: ran 60 sec, walked 90 sec for 21 minutes. As I was ending, I jogged past a guy in a car who rolled his window down and shouted "keep those shoulders down" or something like that. Didn't think my shoulders were up? Hm, anyway. Took video of form - I believe it is pretty correct. always room for improvement, though. But - my cardio-respiratory agony has significantly decreased - yaay! My calves still feel like they're pumping battery acid, but oh well. Worked on kong vaults, too! I've got a stackable vault box, and yesterday it was 1 and 2 sections...this time it was three sections which is lots taller. Woo!
  10. Did not get around to C25K day 3. Passed out on the couch instead. That's rare, so my body needed it. There's tomorrow for running. Found a promising program for pull ups.
  11. Worked on kong vaults today. Scare me big time! Broke it down into little pieces, though, and accomplished slow-split-foot-takeoff-clear-low-obstacle breakthrough! Now just gotta add speed, height, and takeoff distance. Also worked ring dips, little bit o' jump rope. Scheduled to do C25K day 3 today... inside of calves still super painful.

  14. Thanks, alr! =) Man, this running thing is slaying my calves. Did some pk conditioning today, ring work, upside down crunches, jumps and pushes. Jumping is hard with my calves all ow like this. I'm reading a book by the woman who gave this TED talk. It's very powerful and quite scary, but I think it will help me become more self-compassionate, which is something I need.
  15. C25k day 2: 5 minute warm up walk, alternate jog 60 seconds walk 90 seconds for 21 minutes. Ate firstmeal before...this is why I always train fasted. Squats, joint rotations, etc to finish. Still not sure about form.
