  1. Boiled eggs with sriracha sauce. This has made breakfast as simple as I can possibly make it. Boil the eggs on Monday and you have breakfast for the entire week.
  2. Fire Sorc was unstoppable. Meteor/Fireball was great post 1.10 patch. I spent a considerable amount of my high school days playing DII. Pindle runs for hours on end. I'm actually pretty excited about DIII and the upcoming seasons.
  3. Sorry for the hiatus everyone. Things got really busy at work so I haven't had much time to sit down and make an update. I have been completing all three circuits of BBWW since I achieved it a week or two ago. My main focus has been on that. Weight loss is going well, though I expect smaller loss this week because of the Super Bowl. Couldn't resist chicken wings and decided beforehand that I wasn't going to limit myself on that day. I've been weighing in once a week since I decided to veer from that goal. I give major props to those who can go without the scale. For me it is a reward to weigh in once a week and provides some motivation. My cleaning goal never really caught on, so that's gonna be a big fail.
  4. There are some really great articles on the main site that can get you pointed in the right direction. I would suggest going to http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/top-posts/ and taking a look around. You will find the basics there. I have been successfully losing weight and making myself more fit in general by using the exercise philosophies found on this site and a dietary approach that is pure calorie counting. I'm sure you've heard it before, but the best plan is the one that you are able to stick to!
  5. Sorry I haven't been by in a bit. Work has ramped up in pace and I've been busy with all kinds of stuff. The challenge seems to be getting to a phase where it is a grind, but let's all remember that some improvement is better than none! I'm doing great on my BBWW workout progress, as I can now confidently make it through three circuits. The other goals, well... Not so great. But my main focus is on my weight loss at this time, and I am still doing well there. I weighed in at 266 last Friday, bringing me to 30 pounds lost since December 5, 2012.
  6. I was able to finally get back to my workout today, and I powered through all three sets of the BBWW workout. I want to maintain this for a week, then look to up the difficulty level.
  7. I feel for you with the acid reflux. I have a condition that requires I take medication every day to avoid severe acid reflux. I used to be on a prescription, but now I use Prilosec. It works wonders. I was able to finally get back to my workout today, and I powered through all three sets of the BBWW workout. I want to maintain this for a week, then look to up the difficulty level.
  8. My foot still has me sidelined today. I'm pretty bummed. I made it through the squats, pushups, and about three lunges before I had to shut it down. It just hurts too much. I wish I knew what caused it. Any suggestions as to how I can still burn some calories and work on strength are welcome.
  9. Well, a random foot injury has turned up and it is keeping me from doing BBWW so far this week. I don't really know what caused it, but it really hurts. I made it through the first squats, pushups, and about three lunges before I had to shut it down. Anything that involves my ankle to bend forward and back is causing this pain on the top of my foot. Also hurts to put pressure on it. Any suggestions as to how I can still work out to burn some calories and maintain strength without taxing this foot are welcome!
  10. Unfortunately a sudden pain has stricken my left foot today and is gonna delay my BBWW a bit. Looks like I'll have to do Wednesday, Friday, Sunday for my BBWW workout this week. I've never felt a pain like this in my foot. It's along the top of my foot about where my big toe is. It hurts to put any pressure on it so I'm gonna give it a rest. This will be the longest break I've taken from BBWW, as it will be a three day break.
  11. I found this out early on in my weight loss. Crazy fluctuations happen over the course of a day. I only record my weigh-ins from Friday mornings.
  12. Thanks Hulmek. 7 pounds lost in just a few weeks is by no means a failure, and I do realize that. I just need to take it back to basics for a bit.
  13. I hope everyone's week is going well. I had an action packed weekend with work, so I didn't have much time to check in. Over the weekend, I've come to a few realizations that is going to impact my participation in this challenge. As you may have gathered from my last few posts, I had been a bit apprehensive about my caloric intake and overall diet over the last week or so. This was compounded by me not weighing in, as well as some anxiety over the particulars i.e. how many carbs, how much protein, how much fat. This began to weigh on me some and steered me from my initial approach to this healthy lifestyle. It was heading toward something that I couldn't stick with. I had already lost 20 pounds simply staying under a calorie limit, so I was trying to fix something that wasn't broken and it was driving me nuts. If I ever do hit a wall with my weight loss I will make drastic changes, but for now it just isn't working for me. Luckily I realized this around Saturday, and I've overcome the anxiety. However, this means I will be ditching two of my goals: limiting bread intake, and not weighing in. I realize this looks like I am quitting or giving up on this challenge but continuing my weight loss is much more important to me than completing a 6 week goal or two. I will continue to progress in BBWW, and will still strive to ace that goal during this challenge. I'm still going to try to clean up a bit every day as well. I will start weighing in once per week as I did before the challenge (this is typically on Friday).

I weighed in this morning at 268 pounds, which means I have lost 7 pounds since my last weigh in on January 4. Knowing this calmed me quite a bit.
  15. BBWW is progressing well. I'm through the third set of pushups, and on to the lunges!
  16. I guess I should have included that info. I'll throw it in on an edit.
  17. Hey all. Sorry to post back to back, but I have a favor to ask (if you happen to have the time). I would appreciate it if you could take a look at my MFP Diary (link is in my sig) for the week. I had been using the scale to track progress until I started this challenge, so I am doubting myself every time i make a food choice. I don't think I've been over on my calories at all. Aside from the two beers I've had this week, I've made an effort to really cut down on my carbs. I've been assuming I'm losing 2lbs per week so that I can continue to keep accurate goals on MFP. I feel like I splurged this evening, but still stayed under on calories. For reference, I'm 5'10" and probably around 272 pounds or so. I do BBWW 3x per week and HIIT on a stationary bike twice per week. Any input is appreciated!
  18. Made it through the final pushup set in BBWW tonight. Next I tackle the lunges. I think after I make it through the lunges the rest of it will be easy.
  19. This week has been less than routine. I had to work late last night and didn't get to my BBWW. I'll move that workout to today and Saturday to get three in this week. Still holding out on everything and have been much better with the cleaning in the last few days. Biggest challenge of the week has been dealing with situations where I do not have as much control of my food as I like. I've been making the best choices with my options in those situations though.
  20. Nothing new to report really. I've been able to do my required cleaning over the last two days, so there is some improvement there. Work is going to disrupt my schedule a bit this evening. I typically work, drive home, do my BBWW, then eat. I will be working late and eating at work, meaning I will have to work out when I get home which will be after I eat and much later in the evening. I'm kind of dreading this change in schedule. As we get closer and closer to April work will begin to disrupt my schedule more and more until October or possibly November. I'm gonna have to get really inventive to keep my workout schedule going through the spring and summer within the next few months.
  21. I used to absolutely love non-diet soda. It was part of life every single day for me. I have stopped drinking it regularly and have maybe had 2-3 sodas in the last month and those have been on holidays or occasions where I was being more lax about my calories. I've even cut out diet soda for the most part. Once you get over the 3 or 4 day hump, you shouldn't miss it. I will agree that Pepsi Max is the best tasting diet soda out there.
  22. Had a good weekend, staying the course. I even did some cleaning yesterday, and will knock out about 30 minutes of cleaning today with all of the laundry that will need to be put away after doing some laundry. I will be doing my BBW before dinner tonight. Today I looked at my reflection and for the first time could tell that I have lost some weight. It tempted me to step on the scale, but I fought it off. It's gonna be hard to hold out for another month.
  23. I also usually go for the hotter end of the spectrum for my wings. Sometimes I like barbecue sauce though. Barbecue is my weakness in life.
  24. Thanks Jonesy. I think you'll do just fine with moderation. I got around to actually logging everything I had yesterday, and I went over by an embarrassing amount of calories. I can't believe that dinner would have been considered a light meal for me no more than 6 weeks ago! The drinks also really caught up to me calorie wise. This is when I just have to lean on my "more good days than bad" philosophy.
